Target Haul

Hello lovelys how are you feeling this fine day?

So I got this Target gift card from my parents and I wanted to use it soon because Target had some problems with Identity Theft on their gift cards and they were giving 10 percent off so that they could make up for that, which is super nice of them. I got mostly make up things cause I have a lot of clothes, shoes and handbags, so I figured I'd just buy tons of make up. Plus I'm going out tonight, so thats a bonus.

First I looked for some lippies because I never have enough lippies and I wanted stuff different than what I have already

So I got some stuff from covergirl. I got one of their lipsticks in the shade Flame. I thought it was just a nice red color that I was pretty sure was the one Taylor Swift likes. It's a bit more orangey of a red than I thought, but I think I can deal with it. I just tried it on my lips briefly and I like the formulation and all that jazz and I don't know target's make up return policy, but I dont really want to return it. This is my first legit lipgloss thats not like a balm or gloss or anything so this was an interesting purchase.

And I got two of covergirls jumbo gloss balms in berry twist and jam twist. They're kind of similar but the berry is more of a pink and the jam is a bit darker. They aren't super pigmented but they're very lovely lip things, kinda like a "your lips but better" sort of deal. It's nice.

Then I got two of the L'Oreal infallible eyeshadows which holy cow I love! I just swatched them on my hand and they're soft and pigmented and beautiful. They are so much like the stila shadows. I've only tried L'oreal's butterfly mascara before, which is my favorite mascara and these are so great too I need to try more L'oreal stuff because I feel like they never fail!

Then I got another Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream. It's the same as one I had and just used up (products I've used up coming shortly) I love this stuff. It's really natural but makes your skin look better and feel amazing and moisturized. I highly recommend this, the only problems are it is a bit expensive and it doesn't come in many shades. It does give you a TON of product though. I would have had mine a lot longer, but there were some mishaps (which I will share in the products I've used up post.)

Then right next to it I saw the Simple moisturizing face wash and I was like "MINE" and I grabbed it. I like simple and I need a face wash and I like that it's moisturizing."

Then I saw the Garnier aisle, so I thought I'd pick up their dry shampoo since I ran out of my Batiste and I've heard this is great as well. This smells fantastic, I've only sprayed it a bit. I'm excited to see how this compares to my Batiste.

Then, at the checkout I saw Raspberry Vanilla Cupcake bubblegum from Extra. It's good. I'm glad I got it!

And this isn't from target but I thought I'd mention it too because why not. I work at a store called New York and Company and they had these cute clutches on sale for $6. Since I'm going out tonight I thought the clutch would be perfect because its big, but not too big and it was such a beautiful gold color with a nice pink lining. It kinda looks Michael Kohrs-esque, and I'm going to a grammar school reunion and hoping to impress people tonight. (I hope they don't read this lol.) Anyhoo aside from it being on sale for $6 I got an employee discount so it was more like $5... and all customers are getting a 10 percent discount, so it's $5.40 if you wanted to stop in and get one yourself... if there are any left they're selling like hotcakes.

So that is it. I would normally post this on Thursday, but I've already got stuff planned and I thought I'd let you know all of the deals and goings on right now.

Byeeee!
-Shannon

P.S meant to post this yesterday, but I didn't have pictures. I think these sales may still be going on... not sure.

P.p.s alright I guess my pictures didn't upload... they weren't great anyway so you aren't missing anything.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
