Now this is a show I've been watching since it started, but not something I would catch every week, but recently I've been LOVING it!
I've mentioned before that I love Mindy Kaling. She's like everything I want to be someday, and now that I'm about to graduate, I totally feel like I could be as successful and talented as Mindy. Kaling and we'll become BFFS and have our entourage of us, Rebel Wilson, Ellie Kemper and others on occasion and it will be friggin awesome is what it will be. I think she's a great writer, definitely one of the funniest actresses on television and she's adorable!
Also all of the men on the show, I don't know why but I always get a crush on. They are all just so funny! Anders Holm, Mark Duplass, Glen Howerton, all of the male doctors. And it's just the funniest cast. Seriously, I mean even just watch it for Mark Duplass. He plays this douchey midwife that works in the same building as Mindy, and he's just kind of the worst, but also kind of my favorite of Mindy's boyfriends. He was so great on the Christmas episode. He yelled at his girlfriend (Maria Menudos) for singing Santa Baby because it offends him as a feminist. Just too great! He's been extra douchey and funny this season, just sayin.
And I was pretty much against the Mindy/Danny relationship at first, but it's slowly starting to grow on me. I mean last year at the season finale I was going to stop watching the show because their relationship was too close to Nick/Jess- but it seems to be going a bit differently. I feel like its safe to say no matter if Nick and. Jess break up and get back together, it's safe to say they'll end up together. I feel like its a little different with Mindy and Danny. It'd be fun to see them date, but if it doesn't end up working out on the show, they have their options! Kinda great!
I also love all the new characters they have. James Franco was funny. Peter is great, especially his relationship with Mindy and Morgan. I loved him on Happy Endings, so I'm very happy to see him here.
Overall it's a super fun show. Just check it out. It takes a bit to get into, but it really is one of my favorite shows on right now.
