Finals experience Winter 2013

Holy moley... I got no sleep last week. Lol. I had so many papers and all sorts of things to do that I was so lazy and waited till the last minute for. It was kind of a terrible idea and I don't really recommend it, but I happen to work best when it is last minute and rushed and I'm under a lot of pressure. When it seems damn near impossible to get done, thats when I will start doing it!

And that pretty much works for me but it feels like crap when its happening because its like "ohhh my god I have to rush idk what to write about I'm not sure what to do, I can't stay awake." Bleehhhh type of nonsense. Once I finish all of that though, I feel like I just fought a dragon and like I am the smartest human being on earth.

Now I'm just going to brag a bit about the classes I took, because its not like these are blow off classes that are automatic A's these are quite difficult. And I'm not like a straight A student, but I'm a good student and like I said these are tough classes. I'm an English Major, so I had pretty much all English classes, so it was a lot of writing.

I took a tv writing class where you had to write an entire 60-page episode of a show you developed with a group whose idea you liked. I also had to write a short film, which wasn't quite as hard but it was still a little difficult. It ended up being 5 and a half-ish pages.

I also took a class where we analyzed the show the Wire. That was pretty cool. If you were to watch any episode with me I could probably analyze all of the characters and the entire season, as well as major themes as a whole.

The most impressive sounding thing that I've done is my Chaucer class. I had a 12 page term paper along with 4 other 3-4 page papers that I finished right before the final exam. Chaucer is not an easy person to read, but we also had to read it in Middle English and I did it and understood it! You have no idea how smart that makes me feel. It isn't really that difficult, its basically English in a German accent, but still it is something that I did and it happened lol.

So yeah like I said waiting till the last minute and pulling all nighters is bad.  Kids, don't try it at home... but for me I think it worked. Kind of bold of me to say before I got all of my grades back... but I think I did fine. My term paper for the Chaucer class was particularly Brilliant and I really want to know how I did on it. lol.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
