Man Crush Monday- Mark Duplass

So I talked about doing this before and I was a little hesitant, because I don't really have a ton of actual celebrity crushes and if I were to talk about celebrities that I actually have crushes on, it would probably be super shallow and not that interesting. When I do Woman Crush Wednesdays I talk about women that I admire and want to be like more than girls I think are hot. Sooo I figured I'd post about some guys I admire instead of just guys I think are hot. Mark Duplass is a pretty cool guy, so he made the list first.

Alright first off, he's super funny on The League. I just assumed he was just a funny guy that did stand up comedy and over the top funny movies. Then I saw Safety Not Guaranteed, which he stars in and I think he and his brother Jay produced also. It's probably one of my favorite movies ever, and I just thought he was great and he seemed to really get into his character. He played a crazy person that was actually a genius, which I feel like is close to him in real life too. He seems like he's a little out there with all the movies he writes and produces and stars in, but they're actually all absolutely brilliant.

And he can sing too. I really like the song he sang for Safety Not Guaranteed and it just kind of amazed me that he was such a good singer as well as an actor, writer and director. Plus he's funny. Seriously, what can't this guy do ?

And don't even get me started on his character on The Mindy Project because it is just wayyyy too funny. I really think his character is the perfect D-Bag and I actually want him and Mindy to get together, even though he's such an ass. I just thought they were kind of amazing together and his character is so funny.

Alright, that was more fun to write than I thought, so I'll try to do others of these. Probably not every single week, but this isn't the last Man Crush Monday. I have a crush on some of the Workaholics guys too... maybe that will happen next.

Anyway I hope you've liked reading this, and let me know about your man crush by tracking me down in real life and telling me on the streets. Or you know, comment.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
