Close Encounters of The Real People Kind 3: The Rollerskate Kid

So I think this story is pretty funny, but I feel like its one of those "You had to be there" type stories, but I'm gonna try my best to make it so that you're their too. So that you can giggle about this odd little happenstance in my life. (not sure if happenstance is the right word here, but it seems to fit I think.)

Anyway I was walking around with my friend, who I was visiting because he lives close to my school and this was during the summer. We were just walking to the train station because I had to go home and somehow we got stuck behind this kid with rollerskates. Now this kid seemed like he was having a lot of fun on his roller skates, but he clearly did not know how to use rollerskates. He was so slow and he was about to fall down, and I was late for the train... and it was just kind of funny.

Where the hell were these kids parents? Did he just sneak out of the house? Were they there with him and he was just "so fast on his rollerskates" that he was so far ahead of them? I mean it's Newark, it isn't like its the safest city in the entire world! And this kid was totally about to fall.

And another funny thing about the situation is that its damn near impossible to go on a nice walk in Newark, New Jersey, or really any city probably. I mean anytime you want to be alone and go for a nice walk, chances are you'll see someone crazy, someone will be blasting songs like "Ass Like That" or "Magic Stick" and it will smell like skunks. So I guess in comparison, kid on rollerskates not quite as bad, but still its pretty funny.

Anyway, like I said it was kind of a "you had to be there" moment, but this is my blog. I was there and I find it entertaining so this blog is really just for me, and if you like it too then good for you Glen Coco, you go Glen Coco.

Tomorrow I'm going to try to make up a story or poem or something I think. If I can'r do that I'll figure somethin out, but thats the plan.

Anyway lemme know if you like me and if you like this blog. Tell your friends to read it so that they think I'm cool too and yeah. Just do stuff and live because we don't have many other options do we now?

Byeeeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
