So, since i just posted my "Woman Crush Wednesday" and it wasn't exactly just about "Ohhh Zooey Deschannel is so hot" It was more about her awesome personality and the fact that she was a very smart person.
So what does that make "hot?" Does that make it just about looks? Or about talent? Or is it strictly about both? Can I have a man crush on someone that I admire, but that I don't think is attractive?
To be honest I don't know. I feel like for Woman Crush Wednesdays it will be more about ladies that I admire but I'm afraid Man Crush Monday might be more superficial and be like "well I have a crush on Channing Tatum because of his abs" more than "I respect Channing Tatum as an actor and a human being." And when I think of my celebrity crushes, I like to think of two different categories. The "Hot" Celebrities: Channing Tatum, Justin Timberlake, Zach Effron, James Franco, and Joseph Gordon Levitt. And then the "Talented/Funny" crushes Aziz Ansari, Demetri Martin, Mark Duplass, Jason Segal, and Adam Scott. And honestly if I had to narrow it down, I think I'd pick someone that could fit into both categories like JGL, Franco, Mark Duplass, or Adam Scott. So why not just put them on the list? Because Channing Tatum and Aziz Ansari are super hot too! What am I even saying here? Lol.
I guess I'm trying to say that I'm kind of shallow, and I don't think thats a really bad thing as long as I balance it out with some admiration for actual talent? Yeah that sounds about right. If I were to actually go out on a date with anyone, I'm sure I'd have a much better time with someone on the funny side of the list than someone on the hot side of the list. I could totally marry Aziz Ansari, but probably wouldn't have so much in common with JT... which is funny cause Aziz Ansari is Tommy Timberlake. Lol. I'd actually probably have a fun time with James Franco, we could work out... I mean he's more of a stoner than I am, but still I think we'd be a good couple... you know just in case James Franco is reading this and wants to lower his standards, I'm game. Jk... sort of.
So basically be smart, funny and it doesn't hurt if you have a pretty face or a hot bod. Sexy is different for everyone, but I'm pretty sure most girls with a brain will choose guys with a brain over hot guys.
