Scribbles About Movies: My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2

I knew before I saw this I would like it... and I know it got bad reviews and its not going to win any academy awards or anything... but I've had a kind of rough week, and this made me smile, laugh and even tear up a little for about an hour and thats all that matters right? I don't think I've ever left a movie with so many people with smiles on their faces and in a cheerful mood as this movie... and that's what you have to think about while seeing a movie.

So some of why I like this movie so much is the same as why I didn't like fuller house. I loved the first movie, and I loved the familiarity of the old characters and the additional characters too. A lot of the jokes were the same as the first movie... but they were different enough to kind of have a new spin. It was fresh and nice and funny. I liked the beginning where Gus was picking everyone up and they all lived next door in some greek-themed house. It was funny.

It wasn't as good as the first movie really, but it was a lot funnier. I thought there were non stop laughs. All the critics I've heard saying that it was all cheap laughs... I didn't really think so. I thought everything was worthy of a lol. I laughed out loud a lot throughout the movie. I thought it was all relatable and funny. The college fair was funny... I liked that Aunt Voula was trying to get her step count up. I thought the Alexander the great thing was funny and that all the kids sounded exactly like Gus.... it was just really funny.

And I liked the montage at the end... I don't want to go too much into it, but it showed Toula's Parents together, Toula and Ian together and Paris (Toula and Ian's daughter) with her prom date... and that was really sweet and I loved it. Particularly the Toula and Ian part I thought was nice... it was sweet. And then at the end there were more sweet moments and it was just a fun movie!

So if you're looking for something fun to see, and you liked My Big Fat Greek Wedding, and maybe you have a crazy family... you'll love MBFGW2! I loved it, I think Nia Vardalos did a great job... and I'm a fan. I thought it was cool!

Byeeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
