Scribbles About Music: SWAAY EP by DNCE

So one of my favorite songs on the radio right now is Cake by the Ocean from DNCE, aka Nick Jonas' super cool dance band. And I was kinda sad to see they only had an EP with 4 songs on it... I'm excited to hear more of them because... all the songs were pretty great!

Cake By The Ocean
I love this song. It makes me want to dance and it makes me happy and I want to eat Cake by The Ocean. Lol. Any time this is on the radio I get really excited. I was never a big fan of the Jonas Brothers... but Nick Jonas kinda reminds me of Gabe Saporta from Cobra Starship. He just has a sexy voice and he's having fun with that... so I really like this song cause it makes me fangirl in a way I usually only do for Gabe Saporta.

Pay My Rent
This is a really cool analogy. This EP is great with analogies. Lol. So he wants to be with this girl all the time, so he's saying "pay my rent" because that's like what he wants of her love... very unique lol. I don't totally get it... but its a nice song. Probably my least favorite on the album, but that's okay. It's still really good.

Toothbrush
Never thought a song called Toothbrush by one of the Jonas Brothers would be one of the sexiest songs ever... but it definitely is. Its about leaving a toothbrush at a guys place... again so simple, but its really sexy and very simple. Its cute. I dig it. I'm listening to this now. This might be my 2nd favorite on the album... I think Cake By The Ocean is definitely the best.

And this sorta reminds me of Gym Class Heroes and Maroon 5. You know that song Clothes Off by Gym Class Heroes? Its kinda like that... forgot how much I liked GCH too!

Jinx
This is the sweet song of the EP and one I can totally relate to. He (when I say "he" I mean the narrator of the song... which could be anyone really.) And its something I can relate to as I said before... and it makes sense to me. Everything feels to perfect, and you don't want to mess anything up so you just kinda lay low and play cool till you can be sure. And it says its like a birthday wish, you can't say it out loud. It actually kinda reminds me of a poem I wrote in high school too. Lol. This kinda has special meaning to me... maybe tied for 2nd... or 1st? Lol. It has a kazoo type of sound too that I think is really cool.

So yes. I'm in love with Nick Jonas, we're probably soul mates... We're going to have a Scream Queens Murder Mystery Wedding... and it'll be great. Definitely recommend checking out the EP before the wedding though. Wait how old is Nick Jonas? Ohhh okay he's 23... only a little younger than me... we can do this. Lol.

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
