Underrated Things/People #1

So I thought I'd just shout out a few things that are underrated in different categories... and then we'll see what happens. Lol.

Movie: Dark Shadows
This is probably not the #1 most underrated movie... but that's what inspired the post. The Blu Ray was on sale at Target for $5! I love this movie and for $5 I love it even more. I thought Johnny Depp was great as a vampire. I thought Eva Green was really funny and bitchy and just awesome... and I just really liked it a lot! So yeah... for $5 sign me up.

Singer: Nick Jonas
Can we all just appreciate that Nick Jonas is grown up and is now kind of hot? And not only that, but he has a hot voice. You could kinda tell when the Jonas Brothers had that song Burnin up... and then when he did the "I still get jealous song..." The guy is hot and awesome and underrated.

Actress: Nia Vardalos
Nia Vardalos hasn't been in many movies and she's more of a writer... but she's my favorite! I think I've seen almost every movie she's been in and I just think she needs more recognition... she's awesome!

Show: The Goldbergs
The Goldbergs is a really great, heartwarming and funny show. I feel like its overshadowed by Modern Family and blackish... which are also great shows... but I like The Goldbergs more and want a little more love for it.

Book Series: The Princess Diaries
When everyone was reading Harry Potter in school... I was reading Princess Diaries... and I continued reading it in all of my schools pretty much. Elementary School, Middle School, High School and College and even after... lol. Its just a great series of books and it always makes me smile. I'm a lot like Mia and I think thats really cool. Harry Potter is cool too... but I will always have a special place in my heart for The Princess Diaries Book Series. The movies are good too... but the books are wayyyy better!

And I think that is all I'm going to talk about now. I'll probably do more of these soon... maybe very soon. Its just been a long day... usually I have my posts ready to go at 7:30... not so much the last few days... so yeah.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
