Target Tuesday: Target Book Haul

I've gotten a lot of books from Target recently- so I thought I would share them. Also I'm thinking of doing a "Target Tuesday" segment here... this will probably be my last one for a while as I'm not really going to go to Target anytime soon... but I could maybe order online or something. I thought I'd let you guys know!

They've had a few Buy 2 get 1 free deals recently and that's how I got most of these books. I thought it was a pretty good deal and I knew these would be something I'd use... and now I'll probably actually have time to read everything lol.

I'll start with what I ordered online because that includes what I'm currently reading! The Majesties by Tiffany Tsao. I will probably have a review on this soon- I think I'll finish it today- but it's about 2 sisters in a wealthy family that had a lot of secrets. The story is told from the point of view of one of the sisters who is in a coma after the other sister poisoined their whole entire family. It's very interesting and it's definitely keeping me guessing.

I also ordered Jessica Simpson's Autobiography called Open Book. I've always kind of liked Jessica Simpson- I'm not a huge fan or anything... but she does have a really really interesting life. She has a lot of famous connections with celebrities that you wouldn't really think of... This is also a huge book so my idea was to read it at home and bring a smaller book to work... but I don't have work for the time being and I have a lot of time to read big books... so I might start it soon because of that anyway.

And then I bought Josie Silver's newest book The Two Lives of Lydia Bird. I preordered it- so it was cool that the preorder still counted with the buy 2 get one free. Josie Silver also wrote a book called One Day in December which I loved reading last year... and I'm just excited to start this one too! I think this will be the next one I read. It's a big book but I think it'll be interesting enough to be a quick read. This folllows Lydia Bird who loses the love of her life- but somehow finds a way to live her life as if she had never lost him while simultaneously living her normal life without him. It sounds sad and cute and interesting. I'm sure the characters will be amazing and I'm sure I'll cry more than I did for One Day in December.

Now for the ones I got in store. Before the Buy 2 get one free sale I got the book To All The Boys I've Loved Before. I want to watch this on Netflix- so I want to read the book first. I'll probably order the sequel once I finish reading this if I read it before things are more normal.

I also got 2 books from the Reese Witherspoon book club because I like reading those books. The first one is Daisy Jones and The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid which I had been wanting to pick up for a while and just finally decided to do it with this sale. This is about a band I believe... I forget exactly but I'm sure I'll have a review on this and let you guys know. I also grabbed a mystery book called The Other Woman by Sandie Jones. I forget what exactly that is about too but I think it's a mystery and I think it's about... The Other Woman. Shocking right? Lol.

And the ast book was Love, Unscripted by Owen Nicholls. This is another romance book from the point of view of a man that loves pop culture. It sounded interesting- I saw it at Barnes and Noble and wanted to get it there... but then didn't... but I couldn't pass it up when I saw it again at Target. It felt like a sign at that point!

That is it! I have also bought a lot of books from Barnes and Noble the past few months so I think I'll post that soon also but that is everything!

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
