Sonic the Hedgehog Movie Review

So I'm still keeping up with my Star Reviews for movies- if you read my blog yesterday. This one I gave 3 out of 5 stars because I actually really loved this movie. I said "Aww" a bunch of times and I smiled all through the movie. It was just such a fun movie!

I should also mention the audience I saw this movie with too because they were really fun! Aside from one guy who fell asleep and was snoring very loudly... everyone was laughing and cheering and they clapped after the post credits scene- and it was nothing surprising but EVERYONE did freak out at seeing another beloved character from the Sonic games that I'm sure will be in the second movie. It was really fun.

This was a fun movie about friendship. Mostly the friendship between Sonic- a lonely hedgehog with no friends or family in this universe, and Tom... the Sheriff of the town (I think? it's been a little while since I watched it lol.) and their friendship was really fun. There were some good ups and downs in their friendship too. It was just a fun buddy movie. My favorite "buddy" scene was when the two of them were in the Saloon together... that was just fun to watch!

Jim Carey was also really funny in this movie. I thought it seemed like he was very separate from the other characters in the movie  too... like maybe they filmed his scenes on one day and maybe they couldn't get everyone else there or something...but it didn't really matter because his scenes were still really entertaining. Aside from being the "bad guy" of the movie- he was also just a jerk. And I feel like Jim Carey is such an actor that people really like but he does such a great job playing these jerks and just weird character. I would put Eggman from this movie on par with Jim Carey's character from The Cable Guy... he was wacky, he was weird, he was bad... it was just really good.

And there were a few other moments in the movie where it felt like something was maybe changed in reshoots or something? Maybe they deleted some things...it just seemed like there was some stuff missing. It didn't distract too much from the movie and I still really liked it a lot but I definitely noticed it and I feel like it wasn't too hard to miss. Still would recommend checking this out- but somehow I think the second movie might be able to get everything together and make an even better second movie.

I hope you guys found this review useful even though the movie might be a little old and it might not be out much longer... I'll have a more recent review tomorrow on The Invisible Man... I just wanted to get this and Harley Quinn out before they went out of theaters lol.

Bye!

It List: May 2017

Can't believe it's the last day of May... this was a great time for TV... so let's get right into it! 1) Master of None- The second season of this show was really really great! I liked the first season... but this season was just wayyy better to me for some reason... I loved that they had episodes about Italy and about New York... I think they did a really great job and I was so impressed with it... I'll have to watch the first season over again and do a Throwback Thursday on that sometime soon... but until then... season 2 was great! 2) Girl Boss- I finally got around to watching Girl Boss this month too... and I loved that show! At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not... then I just couldn't stop watching it and I finished it in 2 days... which I guess is when I finished all the Netflix shows I'm talking about... but still. Girlboss was definitely really good... and I feel like I could watch this one over and over again too. 3) Unbrea...

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...
