Scribbles About Food: S'mores Oreos

As usual during the Summer, there are plenty of S'mores products for you to get your s'mores fix in. These are definitely good for a cookie fix... but a s'mores fix... maybe not so much.

These are good, and to me they taste better than regular inside out oreos... but they still don't have the real s'mores flavor that I was hoping for. The outside doesn't taste like a graham cracker and the inside doesn't taste like marshmallows... It tastes a little like Graham Crackers and a little like marshmallow... but it isn't all there.

One thing that did really impress me with these cookies is the chocolate in the center. Its really chocolatey and quite delicious. If you take the cookie apart, its awesome just for the chocolate cream. I'm not a huge fan of taking the oreos apart... I'm a bit of a purist and really they do taste the best together, or if you want eat half alone and half together... that is pretty amazing. But uhhh yeah. Lol. Best way is together... its together. Lol.
So I'm a little picky about things having an accurate s'mores flavor because its so easy to do and it gets done wrong sooo often! Plus its a really sophisticated flavor when its done right. Idk who came up with the idea to sandwich a graham cracker and a chocolate bar together and bind them with a melted marshmallow... but its probably the best thing anyone has ever invented.

Especially with the recent S'mores Frappuccino really killin it with the s'mores flavor... this just can't compare to that.

So it is really good. It is worth trying if you like cookies without caring too much about the actual s'mores flavor of it all, these are great stand alone cookies. But if you're expecting a S'mores flavor out of these... its just a tad disappointing.

So these are not better than Cool Ranch Doritos... but they aren't bad!

Hope this helped!
Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
