Hey all! Hope you are having a great Christmas! So I do want this to be a daily blog but as of right now I feel somewhat creatively drained lol. I think I need a tiny break where I don't post anything. Then starting January 1st I will try to have something on this blog every single day! I have ideas and stuff for blogs, but hardly any time to write and execute these blogs... so I'm going to try to organize that all. Now that I'm home from school I feel way less organized. Plus I'm working now and I just feel like I don't want to do anything else ever. Sooo yeah thats about everything. I hope everyone had a lovely time with their families. I just had such a nice Christmas this year because I've been feeling more in the Christmas spirit and I had a lovely day with my family and I'm so thankful for everything and I'm just very lucky. Hello lovelys how are you feeling this fine day? So I got this Target gift card from my parents and I wanted to use it soon because Target had some problems with Identity Theft on their gift cards and they were giving 10 percent off so that they could make up for that, which is super nice of them. I got mostly make up things cause I have a lot of clothes, shoes and handbags, so I figured I'd just buy tons of make up. Plus I'm going out tonight, so thats a bonus. First I looked for some lippies because I never have enough lippies and I wanted stuff different than what I have already  So I got some stuff from covergirl. I got one of their lipsticks in the shade Flame. I thought it was just a nice red color that I was pretty sure was the one Taylor Swift likes. It's a bit more orangey of a red than I thought, but I think I can deal with it. I might keep the same themes as my regular blogs but write in a fictional world as a fictional character... this may happen. Just a thought... idk how I'm going to pull it off. Holy moley... I got no sleep last week. Lol. I had so many papers and all sorts of things to do that I was so lazy and waited till the last minute for. It was kind of a terrible idea and I don't really recommend it, but I happen to work best when it is last minute and rushed and I'm under a lot of pressure. When it seems damn near impossible to get done, thats when I will start doing it! And that pretty much works for me but it feels like crap when its happening because its like "ohhh my god I have to rush idk what to write about I'm not sure what to do, I can't stay awake." Bleehhhh type of nonsense. Once I finish all of that though, I feel like I just fought a dragon and like I am the smartest human being on earth. Now I'm just going to brag a bit about the classes I took, because its not like these are blow off classes that are automatic A's these are quite difficult. There is nothing better than having a nice cup of Egg Nog or some hot chocolate or something and watching a great Christmas movie. Here are my top picks. 1) Elf- of corse Elf tops the list. This is one of my favorite movies any time of year, but of corse around the holidays it is the best! I love Will Ferrel. I don't think there is a movie with Will Ferrel that I don't like (there are a couple I don't love, but nothing I don't like). This just makes me feel so cheerful and Christmasy. I love it. 2) A Muppet's Christmas Carol- The best Christmas Carol that there is! I feel like you could remake a lot of movies with muppets and they would end up being so much better. Can you imagine movie like Iron Man or The Artist but with muppets? That would be pretty great. I've been wanting to post this for quite some time... And finally the time has come. I get to reveal my woman crush on Amy Poehler, the funniest woman on television, possibly the funniest person in the world tied with Tina Fey. Now when I do these woman crushes and man crushes, it's not someone I have an actual crush on. It's just someone I admire, but I have to say personality-wise, I think Amy Poehler is the sexiest! So I'm like super stressed right now. I'm almost done with this paper, but almost isn't good enough I need to be finished by noon today and it's just frustrating because its not like I'm done with everything once I'm finished. I'm just done with that one particular thing and its just BLEHHHHH!  And today I was just not very productive. Okay this week is finals week and all this crap is happening right now, so here is a quick little review on my favorite show this year Brooklyn 99. It's a workplace comedy about cops basically. It's similar to Parks and Recreation and The Office, but they put a different spin on it, so it doesn't feel like you're watching the same show done 3 different ways. The mockumentary- type style things are my favorite type of shows and I really don't know why. These don't use any talking heads or anything like that, instead they show a lot of flashbacks, which is cool and different. It's just different and good. I didn't think this show would be that good honestly and I really have no idea why. I like the type of show it is, I think Andy Samberg and Joe LaTrujio (I think thats how you spell his name... not sure). 'Tis the season to be sick of hearing the same godforsaken songs on every radio station, every store and just everywhere in general. Now there are several songs I'm not fond of... And some I actually like. I feel like there are more songs I don't like than ones I do like... But I'm listening to Christmas songs right now... so I don't really know why I'm complaining and yet listening to it... Idk. Anyway here is the list. 1) Santa Baby- duh I love this song! Now this is a show I've been watching since it started, but not something I would catch every week, but recently I've been LOVING it! I've mentioned before that I love Mindy Kaling. She's like everything I want to be someday, and now that I'm about to graduate, I totally feel like I could be as successful and talented as Mindy. So this happened over the summer, and I'm actually going to start off with a less weird target trip just to sort of preface the story and such. So at this point in the summer I was obsessed with the show Extreme Couponers. I don't know what it is about the show, I just love watching it and can watch it for hours. It actually isn't even because its entertaining its because its entertaining enough to keep watching, but not so entertaining that it distracts too much from what I'm doing. So I don't know exactly what's happened recently, but I've been noticing pores a lot more and it's bothering me a lot. Usually pores are just regular pores. I've never really paid much attention to them. But recently I've been noticing them on my face and I'm like "ohh that's not cute." I kind of want to buy a primer or some sort of skincare type thing that minimizes pores... But everything claims to minimize pores, so I have no idea what's real and what isn't. And it's not like I have a ton of noticeable pores. There are just a few that stick out and they're like "yo, whatup Shan, I'm a pore. I'm just gonna chill here on your face and be the worst." I was so excited for this! I watched it last year and I thought "wow this is so awesome" so I thought awesome would happen again, especially since my favorite favorite band Fall Out Boy was there! But the other thing that happened was I had to write a paper, and even though I had been working on it quite a bit, I had not gotten very far. So my mind was slightly mushy, it is slightly mushier now side note. Sooo my ideas were a little different than last year. First part, Fall Out Boy is on stage and it is awesome. Alrighty so one of my favorite guilty pleasure shows is The Carrie Diaries. I kind of feel like it isn't meant for my age group at all, I'm too old to watch it for the high school drama and too young for the 80's nostalgia crowd. That being said I do love the 80s and I like Sex and The City, so I watch it and it is adorable. The first season was really exciting. Mostly because I liked Maggie and Walt and I liked Dorret. This year, I think these characters are a little more boring and I haven't been liking them quite as much... but of corse they added a new character and she is awesome. Young Samantha Jones is pretty awesome and I think the girl that plays her does a great job. I didn't think I would like her that much at first, but she's good. Although it was more fun when she and Carrie were roommates, I still like seeing her interactions with Larissa and the other characters. It's just a fun character with good relationships. Hey scribblers, today I'm going to talk about my crush on three very funny dudes. The guys from Workaholics.  If I had to pick one specifically to crush on it would be Adam, but they're all just so funny and so cute I had to include Blake and Ders as well. Adam is my number one guy because he's just so funny and dumb and I think out of all of them, I'm the most Adam-like. Not because I'm dumb, just his personality and his quotes. So this is sort of one of those funny things that I can't really understand and I can't stop laughing about it. It's just sort of funny. So I went to McDonald's at my train station and I got a chicken nugget meal. The girl asked if I wanted four pieced or six and I was like "ohhh the chicken nugget meal" because usually there is only ten pieced meal. So I said six and then she rang me up and it was only like four dollars. I knew then she must have gotten my order wrong, because usually it's like 7 dollars ish I think. Apparently she gave me the kids meal. I thought that was kinda funny. I'm 22, and I think the girl that waited on me was in high school. I also had a jack skellington hat on so maybe she thought I was a kid because of that. Not totally sure. And it came with a football toy, also kind of funny. This is kind of a funny story/words of advice for any holiday shoppers. The holidays are a lovely time, they are spent with family and there is a lot of food. The problem is that lots of food=lots of farts. Like so many farts. This isn't usually that much of a problem, your family will love you if you fàrt or not... But when stores open on thanksgiving and you're working and you're trying to fold a table and it smells like farts... You have a bit of a problem. It happened to me this year and I hope that stores realize this and go "yo that's disgusting let's not open on thanksgiving night because all the stores smell like shit." Because that's how all meetings about opening on holidays go. Another holiday to beware of farts on: valentines day. If you are alone on Valentines day and you see a couple, chances are that guy has to fart. Chances are pretty good he won't fart in front of the girl he's with, so he will fart near you. This blog is probably going to make people angry, but I don't care. There are just so many bands, movies and tv shows and other things that everyone in the world seems to absolutely love... and I'm just sort of like meh... it's alright, nothing too special. So I think I've mentioned this before, but in October my family just got a puppy! Our dog Lucky had passed away in the summer and we were all very sad. We're all just dog people and we need a dog in our house, we always talk about dogs and puppies and our house just feels empty without someone running around and barking everywhere. We named him Spencer because he was born the day after the royal baby, Prince George. We thought that it would have been nice if Will and Kate named the baby Spencer to honor Princess Diana aka Diana Spencer. And while everyone was excited and wondering when the royal baby would be born, we were wondering about our puppy. My mom even mentioned something about the new Prince or Princess one time, and I thought she meant our Prince or Princess, so it was sort of a funny thing. I wrote this last year in Creative Writing Class as a Satire. I was inspired by lots of rules and restrictions on coupons from my store and frustrated customers. Honestly I don't think the stores coupon restrictions were that ridiculous, but I can see how if a customer didn't read it carefully they can get confused. I've been on both sides, and I know the experience. Although I'm pretty sure I specifically thought of this last year around Christmas time after being torn apart by two old women basically for doing my job. They wanted to use a coupon for something they already purchased, which can be a long process on our registers. Hello lovely people! I just saw Catching Fire and I liked it so much I figured I'd do a review on it! So if you haven't seen/read the hunger games it is a dystopian novel that focuses on games that people in Panem (which used to be the united states) compete in. The games take children from 12-18 I think, I may be wrong it may be older than 12 and they fight to the death in these Hunger Games that they are automatically entered in and have their names chosen at random. A boy and a girl from each of the 12 districts competes and if they sign their names more times, they will get more food to feed their families. The movies never actually mentioned that, but it's interesting and important. So the heroine of the story is Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer Lawrence. She volunteers in the games for her sister. And I don't want to really give away the end of the first one, but Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are both in the second one... so it's a little obvio...

I was really scared about this season. I get kind of bored when everyone is in one place for a super long time and I didn't think I would like that the season was all at Barney and Robin's wedding weekend instead of just at the bar as usual. I'm very happy that I was wrong. This season has been amazing and instead of having the setting limit the story creatively, I think its actually allowed for more creativity. One thing that has impressed me the most was that they are still doing "holiday" episodes even though it doesn't take place during the holidays. The last episode was an all rhyming Thanksgiving/Christmas type episode and it was really clever and brilliant. I loved the rhyming episode, it was just so funny, especially since Marshall was telling his son stories that aren't really kid appropriate as if they were fairy tales. Side note: I just listened to the song sweater weather by the neighborhood... idk if that was why the tag is called the sweater weather tag or why theres all this sweater weather stuff going around... but it's a much darker song than I thought.
