Weekly Wrap Up: June 14th 2020

Alright here's the Weekly wrap up for this week!

Favorites

Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards-

So I just bought some Amiibo Cards from a brand called Frost and Orchid on Etsy... and they were really fun to use! I'm happy I have some villagers I really like on the island right now! I ordered Cherry and Julian because I want them to stay on my island. And I'm really happy with everyone on the island right now- but there's one house I might switch out from time to time if I feel like I want different villagers so I ordered some more. I got Merry, who I have on my island but I think that's the house I'll switch out, Fuchsia, Marshall, Bob and Marina.

Dead To Me-

So I just finished watching this show last week... it's sooo good! Season 2 I think was even better than season 1. I'm going to have reviews of it once I'm done with my New Girl Reviews... but this is such a great show! I definitely recommend it! It was so suspenseful and I just really liked it!

Lovebirds- I'm going to have a review on this on Monday but... this was a really funny movie. It's on Netflix right now and it stars Kumail Nanjiani and Issa Rae. They do a great job playing a couple that is dysfunctional but they both witness a crime that they then think they're being accused of... and it's just really the perfect blend of funny and suspenseful. I loved it.

Uncut Gems-
There's a suspense theme with my favorites this week. So I'll have a review on this in a couple of weeks but this is probably Adam Sandler's best performance. It is a serious movie about a Jeweler that has a lot of debt and he gets himself into a lot of trouble... and it's just a really good story told really well. I liked it a lot!

Life Scribbles

My eye was bothering me most of the week- but it feels better today.

I found out when I'll be going back to work- so that's kind of awesome. I'm excited to shop again.

Noteworthy Snacks

I had MOGO this week which is a Korean Fusion Taco place in Asbury Park NJ. Oddly I've never had tacos, my boyfriend and I ordered Kimchi Rice, KFC Wings and the Korean Tacos for dessert. It's a really good place- I'll have a review of this up soon!

I've also been making S'mores a lot... I'll have a post on that soon too.

And I made a weird breakfast sandwich/toast thing that was pretty good... I'll post about that sometime soon too.

TV Highlights
I watched the Bachelor Greatest Seasons Of All Time... and I liked watching that a lot. More news on The Bachelor in the news section! Lol.

News and World Events

The first Black Bachelor was announced: Matt James! He was going to be a contestant on Clare's season of The Bachelor but then she called him out for promoting himself on Social Media... which he was doing for charity... Matt James is also Tyler Cameron's best friend and roommate and he was part of his and Hannah Brown's Quarantine Squad... so that's really great! I hope that they aren't using this just to cover up the problems regarding diversity in the show and that they make sure to cast people that are actually willing to date someone outside of their race.

Thoughts
I'm happy to be going back to the real world fairly soon. I know it won't be exactly the same and we are still in a pandemic... but I'm happy things are starting to open back up.

And that's everything. I don't have any links this week... so that's it!

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
