Target Tuesday: Going To Target for the First Time Since March

Alright I haven't been going to Target and that's why I've been ordering things online so much... but I feel a little bit safer now that cases have gone down and everyone seems to be wearing a mask in indoor locations in my state- it is required in NJ because cases were very high. And my mom wanted to get some more baby clothes for my niece... so I went with her and honestly it wasn't that bad.

My boyfriend went probably 2 weeks before I did and he said it was kind of depressing because it seemed like they were trying to prevent you from shopping. I didn't really experience that. There were a lot of employees- and a lot of people were shopping but... it wasn't overwhelming. I don't think they had plexiglass partitions like a lot of grocery stores and it looked like there were markers on the floor but... I'm not sure everyone was following that... but it wasn't really that bad. Everyone was respectful while going in an aisle. It wasn't too bad.

So what did I buy? Well I wanted to check out the makeup aisle because usually I go to Target with my boyfriend and I don't explore the makeup section as much as I used to. They actually have a lot of new stuff that I didn't know. They had some of the new Makeup Geek Quads, I wanted to pick up one of them but I'm not sure they looked a little picked over because there weren't many left. I did get an eyeshadow quad from a brand called The Lip Bar. I saw someone on instagram say that they wanted to try more black owned beauty brands and someone recommended The Lip Bar so I wanted to try something from them. Plus this quad was really pretty looking and the packaging looked great too! I love small quads with good packaging. This one even has a mirror! I haven't used it much yet because as of right now my eye kind of hurts but... when I did briefly use it it was nice and pigmented and easy to use.

I also grabbed a L'oreal Lash Paradise Mascara. I needed a new mascara... and I used to like this one. I feel like the one I got was kind of bad or they changed the formula or something though cause I didn't like it as much as I used to.

And I didn't realize it but the new Hunger Games book came out! I believe it's a prequel to the series and it's called The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes  and it is of corse by Suzanne Collins. It looks good- it's also very long so that's exciting. It's been a while since I've read The Hunger Games and I actually haven't even seen the last movie so I'll probably watch them again soon.

And that was it. I didn't really feel comfortable buying a lot of stuff because I feel like I can mostly order it online and I didn't want to touch a lot of stuff- especially if I wasn't sure if I was buying it but... I'd go back again and try not to stay too long.

Anyway I hope you guys like this!

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
