Scribbles About TV: Black Mirror S2 Ep3- The Waldo Movement

Okay... I have to say after watching this episode I didn't quite know what to say about it in a review... and I just kind of stopped reviewing each episode on this blog... and I thought "ehhh I've got a few months prescheduled... I'll write it later." But I didn't...

And I thought I would re-watch it before writing this today... and I tried re-watching it and I just didn't want to. It's one of the more sad episodes of Black Mirror...and kind of one of the more realistic ones... so I feel like that makes it harder to watch.

So I don't really remember much of the episode... but I remember the basis of it. A comedian has this character that's a cartoon that makes some political commentary and he goes after this one politician and ends up gaining a lot of popularity.

I believe this politician had some sort of scandal... but he's been in office for so long he was still really popular although slightly corrupt... and this woman runs against him knowing she probably won't get in... but she could have a chance if no one ran against him... but Waldo ends up running... and instead of gaining a lot of popularity against the corrupt politician- he takes votes away from the woman that knows what she's doing.

There's also a relationship between the woman and the comedian that plays Waldo and he messes that up completely... and then he kind of doesn't really want to be in office and he tells people not to vote for Waldo... and then they fire him as Waldo and he loses his rights for the character and ends up homeless as Waldo gains more and more popularity.

So that is everything I can really remember about the episode... I'll try to re-watch the other episodes... but this one just isn't one I really wanted to re-watch... lol.

Byeee!

Disney Store Closing Haul

So if you read my post from yesterday- you know that I love The Disney Store, but it is unfortunately closing. I did pick up some things from the store that I thought I'd share with you guys! I did get a couple of t shirts. One is a Star Wars shirt, which is technically a men's shirt but I thought it looked really cool and I don't like that Disney doesn't carry the same things for men and for women. For the most part they look unisex to me and a lot of their men's stuff has characters I like better. Like the star wars shirt for women was grey with pink lettering and had no pictures, but the mens shirt had a really cool metallic silver logo on black clothing with pictures of all the new characters and Luke inside of the letters... much cooler! So I got that! The other shirt I got is really funny and it has Sleeping Beauty on it and it says "I Woke Up Like This." Which I really liked! Super cute and funny and my niece likes it when I wear shirts with c...

Scribbles About Life: 3.10.16

Soooo... I don't really want to post about my day... but I don't really want to post anything else either. I started writing something about female characters in movies and TV... but I just didn't like what I was writing and... idk... I was a blog writing machine this week and now I feel defeated. I wrote a ton on Monday and Tuesday and now I just don't feel like doing a post today... but I want to write still... So I'll talk about things that I guess are on my mind lately... Idk. So I got this Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor... and for some reason... I'm addicted to the way that it smells. Idk why, it smells like cherry medicine... but I also sort of like it. Its more cherry than medicine... and I can't smell it on my lips... but Idk. I keep smelling it in the tube. I got some cute stuff from American Eagle yesterday too! I got a dress and a romper... I do not own any Rompers... except this one... but it looked good on me and it didn't make me look f...

Throwback Thursday: 13 Going On 30

So I watched this on VH1 around Christmas Time because it was on... they really need to bring this movie to Netflix because it's pretty fantastic and VH1 doesn't get the whole thing. I didn't catch the very beginning... but I did watch most of it from around the time when Matty gives her the Dream House... so sweet. It was a little weird to watch this movie because when it came out, I was 13 or almost 13... and now I'm closer to being 30... but I still felt more connected to the 13 year old Jenna instead of the adults in the movie. Like I'm not totally sure when I turned almost 30... but I don't like it. I'm still 13 year old Jenna who likes the same music as when I was 13 and has kind of the same style as I did then... I don't know... its just kind of a weird thing and I was freaking out a little bit from it. This is also the movie that introduced me to one of my favorite actresses, Judy Greer! I love Judy Greer, she's so funny and great and s...
