Movies "Coming Soon" Summer 2018!

So if you guys don't know the website IMDB... they are the database for movies. If you have any sort of movie or tv show question- this is the place to check it out. If you look under the "Movies, TV, and Showtimes" section it will show you what movies are coming out within the next year... these dates are subject to change... but I'm going to kind of talk about the ones that are most exciting!

May

On May 4th the remake of Overboard with Ana Faris comes out. I don't know too much about this... but I love Ana Faris and I want to see the original Overboard... so this is interesting to me.

Also on May 4th we have Diablo Cody and Jason Reitman's newest film Tully. This is about a nighttime nanny that helps a new mother with some post partum depression... it looks really good and powerful and I love Diablo Cody.

On the 11th we have Life of The Party with Melissa McCarthy. This looks so funny. Melissa McCarthy plays a mom going through divorce who ends up going to college with her daughter.

On the 18th we have Deadpool 2... I love Deadpool- so I'm really excited for this!

On the 25th, we have a movie based on my favorite fictional character: Solo a Star Wars Movie... I'm pretty excited for this. I know- it could be terrible... but I love Han Solo.

June

June 8th we have Ocean's 8... which is a take on Ocean's 11 starring women. I love that it only takes 8 women to do what 11 men did... just sayin. Plus the cast is awesome!

On the 15th we have the long awaited sequel to The Incredibles, which I'm excited about! I love Pixar and I'm excited.

I've been talking mostly bigger movies... I think Tag is a smaller one that I slightly remember hearing about. It's about a group of friends playing a game of Tag that involves travel all over the country. It is based off of a true story and I think I remember hearing the story or something like that. I remember the guy that plays Castiel on Supernatural has some sort of thing like that going on.

July

On July 13th there is a movie called Eighth Grade, which looks great. It is directed by Bo Burnham- who's a great comedian and youtuber.

On the 20th we have Mama Mia: Here We Go Again which honestly... sounds like THE most unnecessary sequel and I think it looks great and I'm excited for it. It has Cher in it... so yeah.

There's a movie called Blindspotting coming out on the 27th starring and co-written by Daveed Diggs. I love Daveed Diggs... this doesn't give much of a description, but it's about race and class.

August

I know people usually give August crap for having bad movies... but I think there are some fun movies in August and some stinkers in September.

On the 3rd we have Christopher Robin... which I really want to see because I love Winnie The Pooh. This is an interesting looking take on it and I'm excited.

The Spy Who Dumped Me starring Mila Kunis is out then too... I kind of love how Hollywood is obsessed with Spy's dating lives. Mr. and Mrs. Smith, This Means War... there are a lot... and it's a weird trend that I kind of want to compare with other things... even though I haven't seen Mr. and Mrs. Smith in years and I never saw This Means War... lol.

August 17th is The Happytime Murders... which is a movie I remember hearing about several years ago. This is a Henson company movie that I'm guessing is a dark comedy about Puppets that get killed and a private eye puppet is investigating it. This has a great cast of funny voice actors... I love puppets- idk how I feel about a dark comedy like this with actual Henson muppets... and it is directed by Brian Henson... idk! It's weird... but I'm interested.

On the 24th we have a Slender Man movie... idk guys. I don't think I'm that into Slender Man... and the fact that this is out in August instead of October... it's going to be rated PG-13 and they're going to sacrifice some good scares.

That is everything I want to talk about today! I hope you guys like this! I'll probably do some more later on in the year... but that's what I think for now!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
