Weekly Wrap Up 5.1.16

Favorites
Keanu- I saw the movie Keanu this week and I loved it! Great movie, really funny and clever. I did a review yesterday if you'd like to read it... but yeah. Its great! Do Recommend!

Comedy Bang Bang- I've been catching up on Comedy Bang Bang the podcast again and I really like it! Its such a funny show, idk why I haven't listened to it in so long... but its great and I recommend it a lot!

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmiddt- One of my favorite shows... I finished watching it this week and I want to watch it again. The ending was great and I just really like the show! I'll have a review on that Tuesday I believe.

Smores Frappuccino- This is such a good frappucinno. I haven't gotten it that often this week... but it is really great! I'm happy its back!

Snippets from the week
-Dance Class Monday! First day at the new studio and it was nice! They were still working on it when we got there, my parents and I were actually the first people to dance there!
-I cleaned my room a lot this week too... lol. I think that's what I did most of Tuesday.
-Wednesday was another dance class and we went out to dinner afterwards too!
- I did a lot of shopping this week too... mostly yesterday... but there was lots of shopping that happened this week. Online and in store... lol.
-I periscoped for the first time this week! It was fun I was nervous, but my friends said I did a good job... so yeah.
-I went to the outlets a few times this week too! American Eagle and CCO were exciting. Lol.
-My aunt came over yesterday and I had dinner that was basically chips and dip... but with salmon lol.
- Also ate chicken tacos
-A delicious salad...
-And fried Lasagna Rollatini!

TV Highlights
I saw Keanu this week and that was funny. I also watched most of Jurassic World yesterday and Hot Pursuit and Inside Out. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmiddt too of corse. And I think most other shows I watched were repeats... but those were all good.

I haven't watched Crazy Ex Girlfriend or Jane The Virgin in a few weeks.

News and World Events
I mentioned the Beyonce news this week... and thats most of what happened.

Ted Cruz announced his running mate is Carly Fiorina... which is a little early because he's not a presidential candidate yet... but I think the media was really pushing him.

Some asshole did a study saying dogs don't like being hugged... and thats' stupid. My dog likes being hugged and cuddled and evidently, this was just based on dogs facial expressions in photographs... really? I'm still hugging my dog and loving him. Dogs need to be loved and cuddled and held. People are too cruel to dogs to be doing studies of that. You know?

And some dogs were rescued from a festival in Korea (I believe) where they eat dogs and are now in New Jersey looking for homes. And that makes me happy. I love dogs and I'm happy these dogs were rescued!

Thoughts
Say what's on your mind, but be kind. If you're saying something to hurt someone else, then that isn't right. If you're standing up for yourself do it assertively and kindly. You never know what someone's going through, so keep that in mind... but also know when you're happy and when you're unhappy and do what you need to to change that.

Just some cumulative thoughts that have been on the back burner for a while. Nothing specific.

Byeee!
-Shannon

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
