Mother's Day Gift Guide 2016!

So Mother's day is coming up... here are some gifts you could get... they might not be the most "Last minute" gifts... but I don't think mom would mind getting them a few days late. Lol. Idk. If you order something online like the Hydroflask... which I mentioned yesterday... I think she'll get it.

So let's start with that! I reviewed the hydroflask yesterday and I think that's a great gift! If your mom is into fitness, or even just drinks a lot of water or wants to drink a lot of water, this is a great gift. You can fill it up and drink it all throughout the day. Its really nice, it keeps the water cool on the inside and its really great. Highly recommend!

Another fitness-y thing you could get mom... even if your mom doesn't go to the gym or do any fitness-y things... the Fitbit. My mom does a lot and a lot of the time she walks most of the day... and she didn't really know that she walked that much! And now she has so much fun with the competitions and trying to get her step goal and beating me and my sister and my friends. Its just really fun to see her having that much fun with the fitbit. So that's a good thing to get.

Another thing moms like... Books! My mom does at least. She has a kindle and she loves reading. Some books that my mom has read and can't stop talking about are The Art of Racing in The Rain (she read this when our first dog passed away. We're dog people and this is told from the perspective of a dog), I think there was a book called The Bridge that I think was a historical fiction that she really liked. There was one about Christopher Columbus she liked... she likes Historical fiction a lot... so just know what your mom likes.

Also cookbooks. On periscope last night my friend went through a book called The Art of Eating in The Middle, where she had mostly wholesome healthy recipes... but there were also some great dessert recipes. That looked really yummy because it had a bit of everything. My mom likes The Chew and the Carla Hall cookbook. Again just know what your mom likes, know what chefs she likes and that helps a lot.

Another thing I'm always going to think is a good gifts... Bath and Body Works! There's a lot of stuff... I think there's something for everyone. If you don't want to get Bath and Body Works, there are a lot of great drugstore shower gels too. I like the St. Ives Grapefruit body wash and the Caress Adore forever. You could put a lotion or a bath bomb or some facial stuff in a cute photo box or hat box from Michael's or something and give that to her... that'd be cute! Hair stuff and nail polish too... lol.

Ulta has nice bath bombs that are around $6. They come in sets also, we got a set for a giveaway at my sister's bridal shower.

Also at my sister's bridal shower we did a Manicure in a jar, with a nail polish, nail tools, toe separators, cotton pads, nail polish remover and things like that in a mason jar. It was cute. That would be cute too...

And sheet masks are fun! You could do that with your mom and take pictures. SO cute.

As for makeup... If you want to get your mom that, if you want to get something small, Too Faced Natural Matte, Kat Von D Shade n Light Quads or even maybe the Tartelette tease palette. I haven't tried the tartelette tease, but its cute for a little palette with mostly mattes and some shimmers. Its nice.

And there are great drugstore things too... Ulta brand has a train case with their makeup in it for $20... and Ulta's site just has a huge mothers day thing. Its easy to find something there.

Alright... I think that's it. All the ideas I have right now lol.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
