Throwback Thursday: Rereading my first Blog Post

So I thought this would be a fun idea... but my first post is kind of boring and idk if I understand it... so yeah. Maybe this isn't a fun Idea.

So my very first post was on October 22nd 2013... and here it is!

"Sooo this is my blog... it's new and to be quite honest idk what it's all going to be about yet... I guess I'll figure that out. There will probably be a little bit of everything on here. I'm going to try to post as often as I can, but I want everything to be a good quality post, so if I do nothing one day idk if I'll post that day.

The title is a work in progress... but then again so is everything in life. Maybe that will be my title. Idk. I don't want to change my name every 5 seconds, but until I find something that screams SHANNON (btw my name is Shannon) it's going to be whatever the hell I just named it (it's already too long for me to remember... ugh)

Anyway... enough about that. Have a fun day and uhhh thanks for reading this thing!"- me

So yeah... this is odd.I just basically commented on the name of my blog... but I didn't actually say what the name of the blog was... so I don't remember what I named the blog... and the "Its already too long for me to remember" makes me think its not just Scribbles About Life... so thats weird. I think I wanted to just post about what I was thinking and what I was doing that day... cause when I started blogging many years ago I was an exciting person and now I'm not. And by the time I was posting this I really wasn't either. Lol. I did things from time to time... but no. Not exciting. Lol. But yeah... pretty normal overall... nothing out of the ordinary.

My next blog wasn't until the 28th... and btw I didn't used to schedule posts or pre-write posts. I just started scheduling posts recently and I don't think I really know when I started to pre write things... so a lot of these were just uploaded right after I wrote them and I don't usually check for spelling or grammar. I kind of just edit in my head while I'm writing... When I was in college I barely re-read my papers because A) I finished them 5 minutes after class had already started B) I usually reread each paragraph before posting C) I'm smart. Lol. I will admit... I take a little more time now than I did back then. I feel like with the overly PC way the internet is... I don't want to offend anyone. And I try not to bash anything because I don't want to ruin something for someone. Idk. I don't like when people insult things I like or people I like... so I don't want to totally diss something a reader might like.

So yeah... that is the evolution of my blog... and yeah. Pretty good stuff.

I also saw I always liked making lists on my blog... so that was fun. The It Lists started off pretty early. I also did Woman Crush Wednesday pretty early and I used to write about beauty and makeup here too! So that's different!

Byeee!

It List: May 2017

Can't believe it's the last day of May... this was a great time for TV... so let's get right into it! 1) Master of None- The second season of this show was really really great! I liked the first season... but this season was just wayyy better to me for some reason... I loved that they had episodes about Italy and about New York... I think they did a really great job and I was so impressed with it... I'll have to watch the first season over again and do a Throwback Thursday on that sometime soon... but until then... season 2 was great! 2) Girl Boss- I finally got around to watching Girl Boss this month too... and I loved that show! At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not... then I just couldn't stop watching it and I finished it in 2 days... which I guess is when I finished all the Netflix shows I'm talking about... but still. Girlboss was definitely really good... and I feel like I could watch this one over and over again too. 3) Unbrea...

Blogmas Day 12: The 12 Days of Christmas Gift Guide

So I thought it would be fun to do a gift guide that every gift corresponds with the price. So like for the first day of Christmas $1 gift that would be good and then up from there. These would be good stocking stutterers and things I just think are unique. $1- Solar Powered Dancers!  My mom loves getting the little dancing solar powered people. We get most of ours from Dollar tree... other dollar stores have them too, they're super cute and fun for $1. Its good to put near any plants that you have that way you know they're getting sunlight. It's a good gift. $2- Mini Coloring Book!  At 5 Below they had some mini travel sized coloring books for $2. I thought these were pretty cool. I got the Botanical one I believe. Really cute and fun! I would recommend! $3-   Ceramic Truck w/ Christmas Tree  I saw this at the Target Dollar Spot and I thought it was cute and would probably make a great gift. If you know someone who has a truck or likes the sort of "rustic C...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...
