Target Tuesday: Target Online Haul

I needed one thing from target... so I ordered 6 things from Target. That's how it probably would have went if I had gone in store too... actually I'd probably end up with way more than 6 so this is pretty amazing but still. Once you find out the one thing I needed you'll probably laugh at me buying all this other stuff because it is the simplest thing... but I got some other good stuff. I needed push pins. I use these to hang stuff on my wall and I used to have a bunch but I've used them all up. I actually ended up getting 2 packs just because they're so cheap and I'm sure I'll use them. Kind of going along with that I got a cork Board. I used to have 4 cork boards on my wall that were smaller and... that didn't work out and now I just have one. I think I'll get rid of that one and maybe use this as more of a changing vision board or something. Idk. I also got some Papermate Ballpoint pens... these were 3.99 and that's what I needed for fr

Music Monday: Rare by Selena Gomez Album review

So I do like Selena Gomez and I do like a lot of the songs on this album... but after listening to the whole thing I was sort of like "Huh. Not sure I'd listen to this again." Selena Gomez has a really beautiful and powerful singing voice- and I think songs like "Lose You To Love Me" really showcase that in a way that is beautiful and heartbreaking. We all have seen Selena Gomez's public life, we know what she's been through and this song in particular just kind of makes me want to cry and I really do feel for her. I'm happy she wrote this song and got those feelings out there... but this is definitely the strongest song on the album and it really kind of shows her talents the best. The rest of the album though... doesn't highlight her singing voice as much. There are a lot of songs that rely too heavily on Autotune and I just don't think she needs that. The song "People You Know"- a good song for the most part although I do kin

App Review: Sort it 3D

This is kind of a dumb app to review... but I've been playing it a lot lately and it is fun and it's just something easy to do. So, I'll share some screenshots of the game to show you more closely... but basically you have these tubes with these different colored balls in them and you have to try to get all the same color ball in one tube. see you can see how it looks.  And the app itself is a bit weird... I can recommend it because it's fun but the ads are very annoying... and most of them appear to be playable ads- but when you click on them to try to play they take you to the ad store and that is very annoying. And I also almost removed the ads- which of corse it would charge you for- by mistake... so that is scary too. I wouldn't recommend this if you don't have the more secure way to pay or download apps- and I wouldn't recommend getting this if you want to have it for your kids to play. I just don't know if it's safe enough for that. I&

TV Review: The Morning Show Season 1 (Apple TV Plus)

So I remember watching CBS This Morning years ago and at the time the three anchors were Gayle King, Nora O'Donnell (Both Brilliant journalists) and Charlie Rose (nah). Around the beginning of the Me Too Movement Charlie Rose was fired for sexual misconduct and soon after The Today Show anchor Matt Lauer was also fired. I believe Steve Carell's character Mitch Kessler more resembles the situation with Matt Lauer... but I did wonder what went on behind the scenes with both of those shows... and this gives a fictionalized look at what might have happened. One of the funny things about this show is that Steve Carell is one of the men when the Me Too movement started that I was like "he would never be accused of this." And I still believe that, but he does SUCH a great job of playing a creep! Steve Carell actually plays 2 of my favorite characters of all time-Michael Scott and Gru- and it's hard to imagine that it's him playing all 3 of these roles. It's jus

Funko Friday: Hot Topic Hot Cash, Boxlunch Bigger Pops, and Gamestop ECCC Haul

So I got these basically the last few times I went out before the Social Distancing closures of everything during the Coronavirus Pandemic... While everyone was panicking to buy toilet paper... I got some Funko Pops! So I got a lot of pops with my Hot Cash! At the hot topic closest to me they actually had all of the Birds of Prey pops for 50% off and I had one Harley Quinn but there were other pops from the line that I wanted... and there were some other pops and some sale pops so... I ended up with a lot actually. Hot Topic  So because this was my boyfriends I don't actually have a picture of it- but he did get a Gerard Way Kawaii figure. He's kind of a fan of MCR but he's a big fan of Gerard Way's comics like Umbrella Academy and Doom Patrol, so he has the Gerard Way pop and now he has the Kawaii figure- which he had been looking at for quite a while! From the Birds of Prey line I got Black Canary and Huntress. I really liked these characters in the movie- so

Book Review: We Met In December by Rosie Curtis

So I bought this book because I wanted something to read in December... and I actually ended up reading most of this after December... but it was still a fun read and it did show all of the seasons so really you could read this any time of year and it would be a lot of fun. So I feel like I'm going to get confused while writing this and call it One Day in December... these are similar books. One Day in December by Josie Silver is a better book in my opinion so if you're just looking for one recommendation definitely pick that one up and don't be too confused by the covers because... they're different enough but they're both blue, they both take place in London... I could see getting the 2 confused. I don't think the authors copied one another... at least I hope they didn't but... they're not un-alike. This is about a girl named Jess who gets a job in London and moves into a house with a friend and she has some other roommates as well. There's Rob

How Do You Sleep At Night? Bedtime Favorites!

This is a post I've thought about doing for a while and now I'm doing it! Here are some of my favorite things to help me get to sleep or to do around bedtime and some honorable mentions. Let's talk about my #1 bedtime investment... the Weighted Blanket! I got this from Target's Room Essentials line- it was on sale on Black Friday and Cyber Monday and I was so happy I ended up getting this! I think mine is 12 pounds and it has a removable cover- which is good but I'm afraid to actually remove it. I just find this so relaxing. I get a really nice, deep sleep whenever I use this- it helps me fall asleep and stay asleep. Plus it helps soothe aches and pains that I have because I work on my feet often. It really really helps. I also have a Mypillow, which I also LOVE. This pillow always holds its shape, it's very comfortable... it does keep cool and I just think it works really well. My mom bought one for herself and then she got the whole family hooked on these.

Target Tuesday: Target Book Haul

I've gotten a lot of books from Target recently- so I thought I would share them. Also I'm thinking of doing a "Target Tuesday" segment here... this will probably be my last one for a while as I'm not really going to go to Target anytime soon... but I could maybe order online or something. I thought I'd let you guys know! They've had a few Buy 2 get 1 free deals recently and that's how I got most of these books. I thought it was a pretty good deal and I knew these would be something I'd use... and now I'll probably actually have time to read everything lol. I'll start with what I ordered online because that includes what I'm currently reading! The Majesties by Tiffany Tsao. I will probably have a review on this soon- I think I'll finish it today- but it's about 2 sisters in a wealthy family that had a lot of secrets. The story is told from the point of view of one of the sisters who is in a coma after the other sister poisoi

Music Monday: Thank You Next Album by Ariana Grande Review

I was really excited when the Grammy's were on and I was like "This year I'm going to listen to the whole albums and know what I'm talking about and get more into music" and even though this album isn't from this year... I still liked it and I feel like this helped me kinda know my tastes more. Next week I'm going to review an Album from Selena Gomez... which I also liked but...I feel like Ari is more my style and this album is just a fun and exciting one. Ariana Grande is someone I've always been a casual fan of- but I don't think I've ever listened to an entire album before. I definitely think this is one I can see myself listening to again and again and it definitely makes me want to go back and listen to some of her other albums. I think that the best songs on this album are the ones we all know that were released as singles. They're also the last 3 songs on the album, so "Thank You, Next", "7 rings" and my perso

Knives Out Movie Review

This movie I really wanted to see in theaters, but I never really had time to go see it... so I was of corse very excited to get it on Blu Ray the second it came out... and I of corse watched it right away! This movie centers around a wealthy family who's patriarch Harlan Thromby suddenly dies of a suicide and a Private Investigator named Benoit Blanc (played by Daniel Craig) interrogates the family members. The family members themselves are very interesting- totally a great cast!- and they each kind of have a motive for killing Harlan. Toni Colette plays his daughter in law that's been stealing money from him, Don Johnson plays Harlan's son in law that's been cheating on his daughter- Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon I believe they say wants the movie rights to Thromby's books, Chris Evan's character Ransom just got in a big fight with Harlan and was told he was cut out of the will... as was the rest of the family. He said that he was leaving all of his mone

The Plus One by Sarah Archer Book Review

Alright- I bought this book because it looked very cute and sounded very interesting and I wanted a cute rom com type of book to read around Valentine's Day... and I did read this around Valentine's Day and I'm just getting to review it now thanks to Social Distancing lol. Expect something a little more daily here for the most part! Anyway this book is about a scientist named Kelly who is working on a companion robot at a highly competitive robotics company in Silicon Valley. On top of her boss stressing her out about getting this project done, her mom is pressuring her to find a date for her little sister's wedding. After one bad set up from her mom and no matches on a dating website, Kelly lies to her mom and says she met someone named Ethan- and later sneaks into her office and builds herself a robotic Ethan to take to the wedding. Ethan is the sweetest robot boyfriend a girl could have. He is programmed that way of corse, but still he is very human and actually

John Wick Chapter 3 Parabellum: Review

Alright... it's been a while since I've actually watched this movie... but I'm pretty sure I can give you guys a review on it. This is a really great 3rd movie of the series... I think they're still making at least one or 2 more John Wick movies and there's a tv show in development based off of the Continental... so there's going to be plenty more John Wick someday... but for now this is the last of the reviews I have. So this movie had the highest stakes for John Wick. Literally EVERYONE is after him... even his closest allies got a message to assassinate him and... he's just on his own trying to run away. He does eventually find an ally with Halle Barry's character- who has 2 dogs... so it was nice to see John Wick with more dogs. I thought the end of this movie was a little better than the first 2 movies actually. John Wick did kind of find an ally in his enemy and there are a lot of exciting fight scenes. The villain in this movie was really great

John Wick Chapter 2 Review

So overall I love the John Wick series... but this is probably the weakest movie in the series. It's still an important movie that bridges the gap between the first and the third movie really well... but it's my least favorite John Wick movie. Let's talk about what I didn't love about this movie... the plot is much harder to understand than the plot of the first movie. It's got a lot of layers to it and it gets into the world of the movie... which is good but I feel like this one movie was 2 separate movies. Basically the first half of the movie is John being forced into a mission... and then once that ends it's the person that sent him on the mission going after him... and it just isn't quite as exciting. Plus I really thought the ending of the first movie did a good job of wrapping everything up while still showing new problems and those problems weren't really addressed in this movie. It made sense... but it wasn't the best of the movies. The

John Wick Chapter 1 Review

Ok guys... I joked about doing this review for a while... If you've ever read some of my other blogs called "Chart Chats" where I talk about the top 10 movie charts every once and a while there was an action movie I knew NOTHING about that would just stay on the charts for weeks and I would always joke that I was "thrilled" to see them on the charts again... which was very sarcastic because of corse I wasn't. But anyhow flash forward to a few years later, I have a new man in my life that had also never seen John Wick but he informed me that it was kind of about dogs. AND I LOVE DOGS and he does too so when we saw it was on sale on Target for Black Friday... we got all the movies! So I've seen them all now and I will have reviews on all of them! So if you didn't know the plot of the movie John Wick is a retired assassin who retires to get married but then his wife unfortunately passes away from Cancer. Before she passes away she gets him a puppy so

The Invisible Man Review

This is the best non cartoon movie of the year... I wrote that it was the best movie of the year but that was before Onward... but it was a great movie. I would give it 4 stars I think. I'm not sure if this is a movie everyone would enjoy- I know a lot of people can't really do horror movies and this movie is about kind of a heavy subject matter that might be hard for people to watch. It is about Domestic Abuse and even though it's presented in a fantastical way- it is still a hard thing to watch physical and emotional abuse quite like this. And it is a really serious problem that a lot of women face... and while I did see the trailer and that made it very obvious... but if you just saw the TV commercials for it or heard that there was an Invisible Man reboot coming out- I don't think it's quite as obvious that it's about domestic abuse. This movie was actually scary! I'm not someone that gets easily scared by movies... but this one creeped me out a bit. I

Sonic the Hedgehog Movie Review

So I'm still keeping up with my Star Reviews for movies- if you read my blog yesterday. This one I gave 3 out of 5 stars because I actually really loved this movie. I said "Aww" a bunch of times and I smiled all through the movie. It was just such a fun movie! I should also mention the audience I saw this movie with too because they were really fun! Aside from one guy who fell asleep and was snoring very loudly... everyone was laughing and cheering and they clapped after the post credits scene- and it was nothing surprising but EVERYONE did freak out at seeing another beloved character from the Sonic games that I'm sure will be in the second movie. It was really fun. This was a fun movie about friendship. Mostly the friendship between Sonic- a lonely hedgehog with no friends or family in this universe, and Tom... the Sheriff of the town (I think? it's been a little while since I watched it lol.) and their friendship was really fun. There were some good ups and

Movie Review: Harley Quinn Birds Of Prey

Hey guys! I'm at least kind of back! I wanted to start March 1st... but I'm a few days late to the game... but anyway I have some movie reviews written already and I've been watching a lot of movies so... this might be a movie review heavy blog for a while... but I think I'll have some book reviews, possibly food reviews and  some other lifestyle types of things...  I have MANY ideas. This review is also probably irrelevant- I think it's still in theaters but... I'm not really sure. It's not getting good reviews and people just don't seem to be seeing it... but I really enjoyed it. It's not a masterpiece or anything but I had a lot of fun with this movie and I'd kind of recommend it. I'm not sure I can FULLY recommend it because I've heard so many people dislike it... but I liked it. So I do have to say this was the first movie I saw of the year in a theater and I have been keeping track of the movies I've been seeing with a revie
