Tati Beauty Palette GRWM!

Tati Beauty Palette GRWM!

BLACK FRIDAY DEALS!!!!! PT 1: THANKSGIVING NIGHT- What Did I order? What did I almost order? What am I looking for?

Alright guys its Thanksgiving night as I write this... and I don't like going to stores on Thanksgiving because I didn't like working on Thanksgiving... but I do like shopping online. It's just so easy to do and I like it. If you're my friend that I normally would buy presents for... maybe don't read this! Lol. There were a few deals I was looking at...so I kinda jumped on some of those. 1) Target's Website  This was the first place I went cause... I wanted a game, some dvds and maybe a weighted blanket. Target's website was... odd? A lot of stuff was unable to ship to me or out of stock or something... so that was weird? I'm probably going to Target tomorrow so I might pick up other stuff there. But I did get a game! I got Zelda Breath of The Wild for the switch. My boyfriend has been wanting this game for a while and I thought it looked good. I like Zelda games- so I'll try it! I did decide to buy something else from target later on...but I

Market Pantry Sugar Cookie Milk Review

So Target's brand Market Pantry now carries a Sugar Cookie Milk... and I knew right away that I needed to try it! Mostly Because I was hoping it could compare to my beloved Hood Sugar Cookie Egg Nog- which I believe is only available every few years or so. This reminds me a little bit of that Eggnog... but it definitely isn't the same. It definitely is not Eggnog- it is more like a chocolate milk in it's consistency... obviously in taste its more vanilla-y and sugar cookie-y... but it's a typical flavored milk. It actually reminded me of Rice Pudding Martini's that I've had at a few different restaurants near me. I topped it with some Whipped Cream and Cinnamon because it tasted like Rice Pudding... and I kind of wished I had had some good sugar or gingerbread cookies. This is a really nice Holiday Treat that I will definitely repurchase when I'm finished with it! It was that good! Bye! -Shannon

10 Thanksgiving Favorites

Alright-  Thanksgiving is a little under appreciated as a holiday- and I get it- it isn't as glamorous or fun as the two holidays it is sandwiched in between. My next post will probably be Christmas Related... but Thanksgiving is good too! And I want to talk about it! I'll also probably mention Christmas because I do feel like they go hand in hand. These are in no particular order! 1. Friends Thanksgiving Episodes- Everyone knows these are the best episodes of Friends! Whether they have special guest stars, love interests, bad trifle, mocklate, or turkey's getting stuck on Joey's head... they are always the best episodes! They are almost as good as Monica's Moist Maker Sandwich! 2. The Thanksgiving Day Parade- I'm not too into parades- but I do really love watching all the balloons of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I used to especially love it when Macy's would release the special plushes to go along with the main Balloon... and I'm sad they

Longhorn Steakhouse Review

I tried something new last night and I'm really excited to share it with everyone! My Boyfriend and I had a giftcard to the Olive Garden Restaurant family... and we had already used most of it on Bahama Breeze- which was a really good, fun restaurant- and this time we decided to try Longhorn because I had never been there and we kinda wanted to try something new. First off they bring you bread... which I always like in a restaurant. I feel like the bread was nothing really to write home about- but it was good and presented nicely on a little cutting board. The appetizer however was great! We got the Cowboy Queso- which was basically a cheeseburger dip served with a really yummy garlic flatbread. We were kind of amazed at the fact that the dip really did taste just like a cheeseburger. I feel like I want that recipe! The flatbread was the best part. It was super soft and yet still kind of crispy and flavorful. The dip didn't really stay that warm... but the flatbread did

App of The Week: Plants vs Zombies

So I used to do App reviews on this blog called Appyness-and I was thinking I would do that... but I think I might have already done an actual Appyness review on this before- so I thought that I would just do a little post about what I like about the game and why I'm playing it again right now. My boyfriend and I just talked about how much better Plants vs. Zombies 1 was compared to Plants vs. Zombies 2. This game is a little bit spooky... so I thought that this would be really fun to play again around this time of year. If you've never played before- it is a strategy game where you have to plant different plants to kill zombies and keep them out of your house and away from your brains! It does get a lot harder as you keep going. I think my favorite levels are the nighttime ones and the pool levels. There's just something so fun about these and I really like the different plants that you get to defend yourselves in these levels. I also really love the mini games...

My Lucky Earrings Story

This is just a weird story that happened today. So for my birthday my boyfriend Aspen got me a pair of Kate Spade earrings that I had actually picked out from the store I work at. And these are beautiful kind of simple earrings but still really fancy looking and just really nice. They're rings with some CZ stones around it I think... and it's just really pretty. I was going to my grandmother's house and I was excited to show her that my boyfriend got me these earrings... so I brought them out to the living room to put them on in front of a mirror... and I put one in and the other one went missing! I looked everywhere that I thought it could be... but I couldn't find it anywhere. I hadn't really looked all over in my room... so I thought it might still be there. I did grab an extra back the day that it went missing, so I thought maybe I had just gotten two backs and dropped the earring somewhere in my room... I wasn't that worried that my dog had gotten t

Book/ Notebook Haul! October 2019

Recently I've gotten a lot of books and notebooks... so I just thought I'd share what I've been getting... so yeah! Also I do go to Barnes and Noble often for my books- and I'll probably go there soon... but none of these books are actually from Barnes and Noble! These are just things I picked up that aren't really from Book Stores! I'm going to start out with the notebooks because I did get some fun ones! I found 2 of these at the store I work at and I 100% absolutely needed them! They are from the brand Wacct and they have some of my favorite people on them! The first one I found has David Bowie on it... if you guys don't know I'm a massive David Bowie fan- so of corse I needed that! The second one has the Fab 5 from Queer Eye on it... I have no idea what I'll write in the Bowie notebook- but the Queer Eye one I want to use more as a self-help type of notebook. A lot of the books on here are self help books! I also got a Pusheen Planner! Th

It List: October 2019

I haven't done one of these in a while... but here are my favorites for the month! 1) Joker- Everyone is talking about this movie for a good reason- it is amazing! I literally can't stop thinking about it... it was very dark and disturbing- but just a really great and heartbreaking story! Definitely a great take on one of my favorite villains. 2) Epicurious 4 Levels of...- This is a fun youtube cooking show where they take 3 levels of chefs- an amateur, a home chef and a professional chef. All 3 of them cook the same dish and then a food scientist goes over their recipes and ingredients and why they work or didn't work. It's fun to see how all the recipes turn out and to get some useful tips for some of these recipes. 3) My New Michael Kors Handbag- I just got this because it was on clearance and totally my color... but it's just such a nice big bag that's really easy to open and close and carry... I Just love the design of this bag and it's so nice an

El Camino: The Perfect Follow Up to Breaking Bad

The thing I don't love about the "reboot" types of movies and tv shows that we've been seeing lately is that you can only really "end" a series once. Harry Potter, for example... that had 7 great books and a perfect ending... and it isn't like I disliked the 8th play "The Cursed Child" but... in my opinion it added to much to the end of the original books and I didn't really like that. I was worried that something might happen to Jesse that would change the original ending of Breaking Bad- which I thought wrapped everything up perfectly. And Breaking Bad is probably my favorite TV Show other than the comedies that I watch all of the time. I really liked that they didn't kill Jesse Pinkman in the end of the series. In the Emmy's that year they even had a joke that Jesse Pinkman lived but the mother from How I Met Your Mother died. I was worried about Jesse as soon as I saw the trailer. So all of that being said though... this was

10 Scenes from Joker I Can't Get Outta My Head- Spoilers!

Okay... I just saw the movie Joker last night and it was amazing... but here are 10 scenes in particular I can't stop thinking about.  These aren't in any real order... but obviously... spoilers. 10) Arthur's Laugh at the Beginning of the movie- When he started the laugh in the therapist's office, I thought that that the whole movie might just be that laugh... and I was okay with that. It's such a good laugh and the fact that he actually starts to choke and cry a little bit because of it is so heartbreaking. 9) Arthur Drops the Gun at the Children's Hospital- This is an actual funny scene before the movie becomes very dark. We see Arthur doing a really good job as a clown in a kids hospital and the kids seemed to actually like him... then a gun falls out of his pocket, and he responds in character as the clown... it's just really good. This also leads to Joker getting fired, we're revealed that Randall who called Arthur "his boy" and gav

Shannon Reads! What I've Read This Summer!

Comic Store Adventures

In the summer- a little after I took my Atlantic City Trip with my boyfriend, we started going to a lot of comic book shops and we had fun there... so I thought I'd share our adventures with you guys! The first one I was like "Ohhh- we need to go here" was of corse Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash in Red Bank. This is pretty famous because of Kevin Smith of corse and it was where Clerks was filmed... and both of us like Kevin Smith... although tbh I haven't seen many of his movies- I just kind of think he's a cool guy. Red Bank is of corse a really fun town- I've written about it before a long time ago. So we stopped in to eat first at Hansel and Griddles. I had never been here before, but it smelled really good and they had breakfast food and lunch food... and I was kind of in the mood for something like that. They have quesadilla wraps and smoothies. I Got a pork roll and cheese wrap which was great but it felt very heavy when I was walking around r

Spoopy Sunday 9/15/19: Horror News+ My Spooky Halloween Reading List

I've got some more Spoop for the week... plus all the books I want to read around halloween time.I think I'll shoot for reading all or most of these by Thanksgiving... and I'll get to that at the end!  First some Funko News. We have some New Haunted Mansion pops that were released for the 50th anniversary! It's more than just the pops too, there are little vinyl figures like their mystery minis... but they aren't really mysteries. They even have loungefly products... just about anything haunted mansion you want- they have right now... and it's sometimes sold out like the 10 inch Ezra I probably should have grabbed... but it's all good! I will probably do a Funko Friday on those pops on my Disney Blog so check that out right  here  if you like Disney. Didn't write it yet... but I think it'll be coming soon. Lol.  The Movie Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark is also going to have some Funko Pops coming soon. There are only 2 in the line The Scare

You by Caroline Kepnes Questions (from the back of the book)

These are the Discussion Questions that are listed in the back of the book and... I thought I'd answer them here! Spoilers! 1) "Discuss the Structure of You. What's the effect of hearing about Beck from Joe's point of view? As you get to know Joe better, do you trust his narration? Why or why not?"  Joe was too biased and idealized his relationship with Beck and Beck's feelings and interest in him. She uses her credit card to pay and Joe assumes its just because she wants him to know her name... when I'm pretty sure it was just because Beck had no cash. It's an interesting approach to see how he talks about beck... but we definitely learn more about Joe from the narration than we learn about Beck. 2) " Before Caroline Kepnes wrote You she worked as a writer on several television series, including The Secret Life of The American Teenager and Seventh Heaven. How do you think Kepnes's previous work influenced her writing? Did any scenes in

Funko Friday: Ron Swanson Pop

So- I've been wanting to do Funko Fridays... and I thought I would start with this Ron Swanson Pop cause he's kind of amazing. I will probably post some Disney Pops on my Disney Blog... but everything else will be on this one! I'm an out of the box collector... so I didn't keep the box of this one... but I almost did keep it just because the box was really, really cool! It is very, very Parks and Rec... it just looks like the show and it's just pretty cool. It really reminds me of Ron Swanson's office... which is super cool. There are a lot of other pops in this line... well 4 more not including the rarer more exclusive Andy Dwyer pops... I think this is the only pop I would really want from the line. I do love Leslie Knope and if I ever find it somewhere... but Idk this is an older line so I didn't think I'd ever get the Ron Swanson one- and I was really excited to find it at FYE. This is the only one I really want from the line... cause it&

Sunday Spoop: Horror News and Reviews 9/1/19 Halloween in Theme Parks, Ready or Not and Scary Stories to Tell In The Dark Reviews

This week I mostly have reviews... but I do have a few older Halloween related news stories... so I'll post that for the news section and I'll save my movie reviews for the end! First off- Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party opened in Walt Disney World and they have a new fireworks show that looks pretty fun! They have a puppet of Jack Skellington narrating the extravaganza and then a really cute Halloween Disney Short Projected onto the castle, which is really cool. It seems like a super cute and fun event. They are also offering a season pass if you're looking to go multiple nights of the parade- so that is really cool! Speaking of Halloween at the Theme Parks, Universal is also getting ready for their Halloween Horror Nights. They have some original houses this year- Depths of Fear (water themed), Graveyard Games (teens awaken some scary spirits), Nightingales Blood Pit (gladiator themed) and the Yeti themed Yeti Terror of The Yukon.... so those all sound excit

Bachelor In Paradise Recap: Weeks 1&2

Alright- so Bachelor In Paradise is my favorite of the bachelor series I think... and so far I like this season. I do kind of know what's going on... but... idk. I feel like I liked the couples a lot from last year and this year there aren't a lot of couples forming. Week 1  Let's talk about Blake since he's who everyone was kind of rooting for to find love. I was really hoping he and Hannah G would find love since the two of them were sort of in the same "runner up" situation.... but Blake has slept with most of the people on the beach! He slept with Kristina a day after that he slept with Caelynn... then he took Tayshia on the date- but claimed he was only there for Hannah... it's just kind of a lot. And I don't really think he has the best intentions because he's kind of all over the place with everyone. There's also been some texts that he posted from Caelynn to defend his name... but it made her look awful so he felt like he was being

Sunday Spoop: Horror News and Reviews

Alright guys! Basically I had a little round up of reviews I wanted to do of some horror things... nothing is super recent or super relevant- but I wanted to put it all into one little blog post here... so here we go! First off I'll start with what I think is the biggest and most surprising news: Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness was announced in Marvel Phase 5 and it is going to be the first Marvel Horror Movie! My favorite thing about the MCU is that they are always playing with the genres of their movies. Captain America movies are War Movies, Spider Man is High School comedies, Ant Man Comedy Heist, Guardians are Sci Fi Comedies, Thor and Doctor Strange were Fantasy... it's just kind of interesting that their next genre is horror. It makes things very layered and more interesting. I like it a lot! Next news... I sort of inadvertently waited for a more official statement to talk about this... but they announced a series of Get Out and Us Funko Pops! The Us ones in pa

Shannon News and Reviews 7.17.19

Alright guys... here is a new thing I'm doing... I will just be a one-woman news blog every once and a while telling you about the news I care about and what I want to talk about... along with some reviews. To be honest- I always handwrite this before I type it on the blog... and I'm just going to write the same stories because... why not. I'll start off with the review! The newest Frappucino Flavor was released at Starbucks and it is pretty good! The Tye Dye Frap! This is a really beautiful frap and it actually tastes really good! It's probably not my favorite limited edition frappucino... but I liked it. It was pretty and it tasted like fruity pebbles and I'm not sure I'd really order it again... but it isn't bad. I'd recommend it! Speaking of Starbucks... I'm also already pretty excited for fall... I'm not trying to rush away summer- but at the store I work at they've started putting out fall candles... and I kind of want to enjo

Shannon Watches Movies: Don't See Men In Black International

Sooo... Men In Black isn't really a perfect franchise... but in the first 3 movies you're pretty much guaranteed some fun characters with great chemistry, some fun villains... and some actual LAUGHS. This movie had... none of that... And it's not like anyone in the movie or working behind the scenes of the movie is that bad. My boyfriend thought maybe the director was bad... he's directed some good movies including The Italian Job and Straight Outta Compton. The writers really don't seem that bad. Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Liam Neison, and even Kumail Nanjiani who voiced Pawny are all good... so that doesn't make sense. Tessa Thompson and Hemsworth have also worked together in Thor and Avengers Endgame... so they do have great chemistry together... just nothing really worked in this movie. It felt like it could have been an okay movie- but it went stale somewhere. It's the movie equivalent of a stale bag of chips. There was just nothing funny or
