El Camino: The Perfect Follow Up to Breaking Bad

The thing I don't love about the "reboot" types of movies and tv shows that we've been seeing lately is that you can only really "end" a series once. Harry Potter, for example... that had 7 great books and a perfect ending... and it isn't like I disliked the 8th play "The Cursed Child" but... in my opinion it added to much to the end of the original books and I didn't really like that. I was worried that something might happen to Jesse that would change the original ending of Breaking Bad- which I thought wrapped everything up perfectly.

And Breaking Bad is probably my favorite TV Show other than the comedies that I watch all of the time. I really liked that they didn't kill Jesse Pinkman in the end of the series. In the Emmy's that year they even had a joke that Jesse Pinkman lived but the mother from How I Met Your Mother died. I was worried about Jesse as soon as I saw the trailer.

So all of that being said though... this was the perfect way of adding to the story without really taking away from the original series. We did get to see how Jesse would handle situations differently than Walt- at least by the end of Walt's life. Walt was more the type to kill someone first, whereas Jesse will really only kill someone if he has to. The villains in this movie kind of take advantage of that fact... but Jesse kind of learns to be a little bit more aggressive and he is quicker than the villains of the show... so he kind of changes and becomes more of a leader than a supporting character at the end of this.

I loved how suspenseful the movie was also. It wasn't quite as suspenseful as the original series... but there were a lot of moments where I was worried and not sure what would happen next.

There were some scenes that were kind of fan service moments... We got to see Walt, Mike, Jane, and Todd... plus The Cleaner played by the late Robert Forster- who I believe passed away the day this movie was released... I always really liked his character and was happy to see that. We also get confirmation that everyone died, Walt definitely died.... All the bad guys died obviously and we even get confirmation that Lydia, who was poisoned was in the hospital and not expected to survive.

So I've heard some mixed reviews about this movie... but I really enjoyed it and I didn't know I needed the series to be wrapped up more than it had been... but I really did like it and definitely recommend checking it out if you liked the original series.

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
