Shannon News and Reviews 7.17.19

Alright guys... here is a new thing I'm doing... I will just be a one-woman news blog every once and a while telling you about the news I care about and what I want to talk about... along with some reviews. To be honest- I always handwrite this before I type it on the blog... and I'm just going to write the same stories because... why not.

I'll start off with the review! The newest Frappucino Flavor was released at Starbucks and it is pretty good! The Tye Dye Frap! This is a really beautiful frap and it actually tastes really good! It's probably not my favorite limited edition frappucino... but I liked it. It was pretty and it tasted like fruity pebbles and I'm not sure I'd really order it again... but it isn't bad. I'd recommend it!

Speaking of Starbucks... I'm also already pretty excited for fall... I'm not trying to rush away summer- but at the store I work at they've started putting out fall candles... and I kind of want to enjoy the coziness of fall.I'm also a funko pop fan- and they recently came out with the Sanderson Sisters Funko Pop Movie Moment.

It's a Spirit Halloween Exclusive and you can pre-order it now... it's expected to ship in September. There's also a few new Nightmare Before Christmas Pops- I don't think these are exclusive or anything, but they have a Jack Skellington Pop Town, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Witch, the One Eyed Mummy and a new Jack figure. It's cute and I love Nightmare before Christmas- so I'm sure I'll get some of those.

There is rumored to be a trailer or a look at Marvel's Black Widow movie... which is pretty cool. It might debut at San Diego Comic Con. I'm excited for that... I'm skeptical it will happen that early- maybe it'll be at D23 in August... but I'm just hoping for some look sometime soon.

In some more Disney News, they released the dates of the Rise of The Resistance rides coming to Walt Disney World and Disneyland. So Disney World's ride will open December 5th and Disneylands will be January 17th.

Netflix announced The Cuphead Show- which I'm pretty excited about! I don't play the Cuphead games, but my boyfriend does... and I think they're pretty cute and I'm just excited to see the animation! It looks cool and cute.

I'm going to end this with another review... and that is Back to The Future! I had never actually  seen the original Back to The Future... but I kind of know about Back to The Future 2 because I went on the Universal Ride- which I think was based off of that movie... and I always seem to see Back to The Future 3... which is a western and I like that. I really loved this movie though- it was really cute and just a fun time travel movie. I've finally seen it and it is definitely worth the several years of hype I've heard about it... I can honestly say it exceeded the hype. It's really a good one.

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
