New TV Reviews: 9-1-1, X Files Season 11, LA To Vegas, Grownish, Alone Together

Sooo I've seen a bunch of new tv shows... and I've really liked all of them... so I thought I would just do one mega review of everything... and here's what I think about it all.

9-1-1
This show had one of the best pilots I've ever seen and a great follow-up episode as well. It's just such a great show... really sucks you in when you watch it and makes you wonder what happens next. I think they did such a great job with character development for an ensemble... it's Ryan Murphy so obviously it's going to be amazing with an amazing  cast... Connie Britton, Angela Basset, the guy that played Nate on Six Feet Under... everyone is just so good and I'm really loving the show so far. It already has me hooked and this episode ended on a cliffhanger... so I'm excited to see what's coming next!

The X Files
This season of the X Files is kind of funny because I'm actually watching it with my mom who isn't that into sci fi and she never really watched the show before... she was just kind of around when I was watching the season premiere... and I think she was kind of hooked even though she thought it was unbelievable.

A lot of the critics said that the first episode of the season wasn't the strongest... and I have to kind of agree... but at the same time I really liked it. It was a little predicable I'd say... but it was still unique enough to be excited for. I don't know... it was nothing unexpected but the end was something I thought was a little heartbreaking and creepy... and I thought this was one of the best episodes from the Cigarette Smoking Man.

The second episode I still liked... but it was a little hard to figure out what was going on... I liked it and didn't at the same time... it was really cool and unique with a very bleak ending that felt like the original series... and I liked that a lot... Plus it's always fun to see the Lone Gunmen!

La To Vegas
This one kind of sucked. It wasn't the worst pilot of the year or the worst show ever... I just didn't like it. I would rather see Dylan McDermott on 9-1-1 with Connie Britton... he was very goofy and over the top in this show and I just thought it kind of sucked.

I liked the story with the female flight attendant... the actor that played the other flight attendant was really good too... everyone was funny... the show itself wasn't funny though... it just didn't do it for me and I wouldn't recommend watching this when there are sooo many shows on right now.

Grown-ish
This was really really funny. If you like Blackish- and you like teen comedy shows- I think this is a good show for you. Zoey Johnson is very relatable and I just think all the characters on the show are really unique and cool. I love her group of girl friends... it's  just a really strong, different squad. They also do a good job showing a diverse group of students so it actually looks like a real college. I just really like it so far! I think it's going places!

Alone Together
I kind of liked this show... but I hope it gets a little bit better. I think it's funny... but the plot of this episode was just a little slow... not my favorite overall... but it wasn't bad. It just wasn't the most interesting. I like the characters, I love Ester on Crazy Ex Girlfriend and I'm excited to see that she has her own show now... the commercials were really really funny for this and I think this is something that's good now... but it'll end up getting better and better as it goes on.

So that is everything! I hope you guys like this! I will maybe do more tv reviews once the season finale's are all out... so let me know if that's something you like!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
