Dress Alterations and Shoe Shopping

Sooo... this isn't the best story in the entire world... but I feel like it's cute and funny and needs to be told.

The other day I went to get my Bridesmaid Dress altered... and there was one big thing I forgot when I realized I needed to get the dress hemmed for length also... THE SHOES! The dress is going to be floor length... you can't decide if it's going to be floor length or not if you don't have the shoes! Which I hadn't bought yet... so I needed to get those... so we went later at night to get them at Nordstrom.

Now... usually when I buy something I have a very specific thing in mind and I try to go with whatever is the closest to that... and usually it doesn't work out that well or there's something I don't like about it. This time it seemed pretty easy... I wanted Black Heels- preferably ones that I could walk in and I kind of wanted close toed since she's getting married in February and if it's anything like now... it'll be really cold! It's so so cold out right now.

Anyway I was expecting to be picky or not find anything... but right away I found 2 pairs of shoes that I liked... one was open toed and the other was close toed... they were out of the open toed shoes in my size... they did have the close toed shoes... which I loved and they had a really easy to walk in heel...

The only problem was with the 8 and a Half one of the shoes fit perfect but the other one was slipping off of my foot because it was too big! They were the same size, they just fit my feet totally differently. I ended up getting the 8's instead... I have less of a problem with them... but still kind of a problem. I guess it's just that my feet are different sizes... but I wonder if there's something in the shoes making it different. Idk... either way- I'm excited to have a pair of heels I can actually walk in! I will definitely wear these again!

So the very next day we went back to the tailor to get the dress hemmed... and he should have it on Thursday! So excited! I'm kind of worried because of the blizzard... but I think it should be ready pretty soon!

I hope you guys like this type of "Story Day" post... maybe I'll have a more fun one next week... maybe not... but I'll see you guys tomorrow! Or on my beauty blog or youtube channel. Lol.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
