How To-sday Checklist: How To Ring In The New Year

Sooo I thought this would be a fun How-Tosday...I'll talk about what to do to ring In The New Year... and what I've done wrong so far... it's just fun!

Get a Fabulous Outfit... Check!
Ahhh my New Year's Eve Outfit! So cute! I did a whole blog on it right here and a shorter blog here. I didn't end up wearing this because it was too cold to go out on New Year's Eve... but still I got the outfit and I will wear it sometime!

Make Resolutions... Check!
Ahhh yes the resolutions! I did that and it was pretty fun! I think maybe I made too many resolutions and I won't actually be able to fulfill them... but I'm going to try to do at least one of them... I think it will be mastering the skills of the Jedi!

Watch The Ball Drop... Check!
I watched it on TV... it looks crazy to see it in person and I don't think I'd ever really want to do that. Definitely not on my Bucket List lol. If they did it somewhere warm- maybe I would try it... but not in Times Square. I do watch it on TV. I didn't keep the whole show on because Minions was on the Fx Movie Network... and then it was on a second time so I watched it again because I liked it so much...but I saw the ball drop. I was good.

Someone I follow on Instagram livestreamed them watching the ball drop on TV... that's excessive.

Drink Champagne! Nope :)
I do like Champagne... I didn't drink anything for New Year's... it was a little chilly and I wasn't really doing anything- so I didn't want to drink... I ate a lot though!

Eat Black Eyed Peas... Check!
Black Eyed Peas are supposed to bring wealth in the new future. My sister always makes something called "Money Salad" which is a really good bean salad with black eyed peas, cilantro, onions, cucumbers... and other things... it's a popular New Year's Side Dish... so I was happy to have it!

Don't Buy Anything On New Year's Day... Technically Nope...
So... while I did technically buy something on New Year's Day... I didn't receive the thing I'm getting yet... so I'm going to count it as I didn't buy anything... but I kind of did. It was the last day I could buy a wine painting party reservation... so that's what I did. Sooo... idk it kind of counts. You're not supposed to buy anything because you'll be buying something the whole year. So I can't count this as a check for not buying anything... but I'm going to say it probably isn't bad luck!

Bring Something In... Technically yes?
We like to bring something in the first time you go outside in the New Year so you'll be bringing things in all year. Technically... I brought in Starbucks... I'm going to count that...and I think as long as I save the cup or the sleeve... it counts!

Soooo I think that's it! I hope you guys like How To-sday cause it's coming back!

Byeee!

Blogmas Day 12: The 12 Days of Christmas Gift Guide

So I thought it would be fun to do a gift guide that every gift corresponds with the price. So like for the first day of Christmas $1 gift that would be good and then up from there. These would be good stocking stutterers and things I just think are unique. $1- Solar Powered Dancers!  My mom loves getting the little dancing solar powered people. We get most of ours from Dollar tree... other dollar stores have them too, they're super cute and fun for $1. Its good to put near any plants that you have that way you know they're getting sunlight. It's a good gift. $2- Mini Coloring Book!  At 5 Below they had some mini travel sized coloring books for $2. I thought these were pretty cool. I got the Botanical one I believe. Really cute and fun! I would recommend! $3-   Ceramic Truck w/ Christmas Tree  I saw this at the Target Dollar Spot and I thought it was cute and would probably make a great gift. If you know someone who has a truck or likes the sort of "rustic C...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...

Scribbles about Books: Horns by Joe Hill

I picked this book up not too long ago because after seeing the trailer for the movie and seeing it was based on a book I thought "Hey, that looks good. I should read the book." Then my friend gave me a Barnes and Noble gift card for my birthday and I thought "Hey I wanted to read Horns, I should grab that." And I did, and I had to read it around halloween of corse! So this is my kind of horror story first of all. I love that the universe it takes place in is very realistic and very small-town. If you've noticed in some of my other book reviews... I like mysteries that take place in small towns. And its very believable because the world and the characters are all so real. I think its a good book just for that. The book starts out with this guy Ignatious, or Ig a year after his girlfriend Merrin is murdered. He grows horns from out of his head... for no real reason. And then a few chapters in we find out who really did it and then we find out why and that thi...
