Hump Day Update 1/3/18

What I'm Watching

I bingewatched Riverdale... it's such a good show. I really liked the first season- I watched what I could watch on the CW's site... so I'm caught up I just missed the first 4 episodes of the new season. The first episode was just on today- so I tivoed that and I'll watch it.

That made me want to watch Gossip Girl... I always want to finish the show... I didn't really love it though and I hate Chuck Bass... I have to say I can't see rooting for a character that assaults a girl on the first episode... plus Ed Westwick has been accused of assaulting girls in real life... so that's not something I support... I honestly fast forwarded a lot of his scenes because I just couldn't stand his character. I'm going to do a bit of a Throwback Thursday tomorrow comparing this to Riverdale.... because things have changed a lot. I don't know if I'll continue watching the show... I might start with season 2 or something- idk. I wanted to know if there was anything pointing to who Gossip Girl was now that I know who it is... there was actually quite a bit... so yeah.

Now I'm watching Modern Family. I'm happy my shows are back! I watched the Tuesday shows last night... tonight the Wednesday shows are on... plus Grown-ish is on Freeform- which is exciting too... I'm just happy with the tv that is on now.

News

Hoda Kotb is replacing Matt Lauer on The Today Show! I'm sure she'll do a great job.

Idk why this is news but apparently a Jeopardy Contestant answered a question "Gangster's Paradise" instead of "Gangsta's Paradise" and it was wrong answer... so they marked it wrong.

Food and Drink

Gertrude Hawk Caramel Chocolate Santa's. This is kryptonite.

Favorites

Riverdale... I think that's it!

Other Stuff
I got comfy heels! They're for the wedding that I am bridesmaid-ing in soon.

My friend started watching The Office- which is a show I like. I started watching Gossip Girl... which is a show she likes... I think we're in a Freaky Friday scenario.

Byeee!

It List: May 2017

Can't believe it's the last day of May... this was a great time for TV... so let's get right into it! 1) Master of None- The second season of this show was really really great! I liked the first season... but this season was just wayyy better to me for some reason... I loved that they had episodes about Italy and about New York... I think they did a really great job and I was so impressed with it... I'll have to watch the first season over again and do a Throwback Thursday on that sometime soon... but until then... season 2 was great! 2) Girl Boss- I finally got around to watching Girl Boss this month too... and I loved that show! At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not... then I just couldn't stop watching it and I finished it in 2 days... which I guess is when I finished all the Netflix shows I'm talking about... but still. Girlboss was definitely really good... and I feel like I could watch this one over and over again too. 3) Unbrea...

Blogmas Day 12: The 12 Days of Christmas Gift Guide

So I thought it would be fun to do a gift guide that every gift corresponds with the price. So like for the first day of Christmas $1 gift that would be good and then up from there. These would be good stocking stutterers and things I just think are unique. $1- Solar Powered Dancers!  My mom loves getting the little dancing solar powered people. We get most of ours from Dollar tree... other dollar stores have them too, they're super cute and fun for $1. Its good to put near any plants that you have that way you know they're getting sunlight. It's a good gift. $2- Mini Coloring Book!  At 5 Below they had some mini travel sized coloring books for $2. I thought these were pretty cool. I got the Botanical one I believe. Really cute and fun! I would recommend! $3-   Ceramic Truck w/ Christmas Tree  I saw this at the Target Dollar Spot and I thought it was cute and would probably make a great gift. If you know someone who has a truck or likes the sort of "rustic C...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...
