Scribbles About Food: Costco Food Haul

So... I didn't really know what to post today, but my mom and I just went to Costco and got some food mostly of the snack variety... I'm tryin to keep it healthy... but lets be real here... it doesn't all work out that way. Lol.

So the thing that is the most on the healthy side that we got is actually the reason why we went to Costco to begin with and that is the Goodness Knows Very Cranberry bars. These are awesome. They're filling enough that if I don't have time for breakfast or lunch, I grab one of these and I'm good to go. Its also a great dark chocolate flavor. Its made by Mars, who also make Dove dark chocolates and it tastes similar to the dove fruit with dark chocolate. I'm not a big dark chocolate fan, but I do really enjoy this dark chocolate and the dove dark chocolate. It is 150 calories... which isn't the lowest calorie snack that you can have... but for me these are more of a meal and they're filling that way. They also do break the bar up into 4 squares, so if you wanted a square or 2 as a snack, you could do that... but these do taste really good and you might want the whole thing anyway.

Next we passed their samples... and you know how Costco samples are... lol. This was for a new limited edition snapple called Lady Liber-tea. I just tried the sample cause I was thirsty... I didn't think I would like it... but I liked it a lot. So we got a pack. These are 150 calories for a bottle... so its not much healthier than soda... but its still a healthier alternative... plus one bottle of this is actually pretty big. I could totally have half for lunch and half for dinner or something like that... so it is kind of a lot. The flavors in this are natural raspberry, white peach and blueberry... get it red, white and blue? Lol. Really great flavor, very unique and I would recommend picking one up.

Plus a lot of times I'll drink starbucks or a frappuccino or something... this is a healthier alternative to that... is kind of how I'm looking at it lol.

And last but not least... this is not even slightly healthy but it is absolutely amazing. They have these snacks called snappers which are like chocolate turtles but with pretzels in them... and this one has peanut butter also. Ohhh my god. Its so sooo sooo good. These aren't just sold at Costco, I've seen these at Harmon and probably Bed Bath and Beyond, but the big momma bags are at costco and... you might want the big momma bags. Lol. I'm trying to be good right now, so I've only had one. One is a lot though and the serving size is 3 for 200 calories... not nearly as bad as I thought lol... but these are a fantastic little treat and its sooo soo good. I really needed some chocolate snacks in my life today and this was just perfect. Its salty and sweet and just the best.

So that is everything. All very yummy. I'm going to eat it all right now. Nom nom nom... Okay. Lol that was weird... but yeah.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
