Movies That Used to Be On All The Time When I Was A Kid

So I thought this would be a fun blog to do. I just wrote a blog about non-holiday movies to watch around the holidays... and then that got me thinking to movies that they used to show ALL THE TIME when I was little but I never see anymore. Some of these were my sister just watching it repeatedly... well the first one is for sure... but it was on a lot when there were less options on tv. Also keep in mind: These aren't actually kids movies... they were just on all the time when I was a kid and if I was in the living room I'd see at least a part of it. 1) So I Married an Ax Murderer-  This was my sister's favorite movie when I was a kid. She probably watched this every day and recited all the words... and I think she had the soundtrack too. This movie is really funny and kind of cute. Mike Myers is a poet/singer/comedian that has bad luck in love... and then he falls in love with a woman that works at a Scottish Butcher or Deli or something... and then he marries her...

Collecting Things: Ralph Breaks The Internet Funko Pops

So I thought this might be a fun thing for me to write... I feel like any collector can kind of relate to this too... the need to get all the things, or the things you could get to complete the collection and just basically the fun of collecting things in general. Before I even saw Ralph Breaks The Internet- I knew that I loved the scene/ idea of the Cozy Princesses that have a sleepover with Vanellope and... I just thought this was a cute little disney crossover and kind of a perfect way for Disney to kind of poke fun at themselves. And after seeing the movie I got a little more obsessed with it... and now I'm collecting all of them... and my desk looks like this now... So it all started off with Rapunzel and Jasmine. I was in Boxlunch with my boyfriend and I knew I wanted to collect them all... but I wanted to start out with my favorites... and quite frankly the ones that Boxlunch had the fewest of because I figured these wouldn't be super hard to find... but still. ...

Weird Dreams I've Had: Venym Vodka

Hey guys! Happy New Year! This is a weird first post of the new year tbh... but I want to kind of write these every day as a thought pops into my head... it is as always a goal of mine to blog every day this year on both blogs... I realize that has not happened but I figure this way I'll at least be pretty consistent and maybe the blogs will be better? Not sure- but I'm writing this on December 10th cause I just wrote the "Things I thought as a kid- Christmas Edition" and I saw a pop up ad for Vodka on facebook... so yeah. That reminded me of this story. Anyway it pretty much is exactly how it sounds... when I was in High School I had a dream that I either started or Cobra Starship started a brand of vodka called Venym Vodka which was a fancy bottle of vodka that contained a live cobra in the box. Yes that's right... A LIVE COBRA! Why did I have this dream? I didn't drink in high school... but I did in fact love the band Cobra Starship... and the lead sing...

Blogmas Day 15: Christmas Movies: Good and Bad

In general- I'm a fan of Christmas Movies. There are some that are particularly bad... and yet I still watch them every year and enjoy them... this is going to be more of me going over the worst parts of Christmas movies... and things that just kind of bother me. THE BAD  1) Santa in Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer I know people are complaining about Rudolph a lot this year... and I don't necessarily agree with everything that they're saying... but at the same time the Santa in Rudolph has some problems. He mocks a baby reindeer for having a red nose... that's not cool. So while I'm not super offended by Rudolph or up in arms about it or anything... yeah the Santa in Rudolph is not the best. #notmysanta am I right??? 2) The Grinch's Heart is Down a Size and A Half???  So in the Jim Carey Grinch movie there's a scene early on in the movie where the Grinch checks the Heart Chart and says "Down another size and a half." This means that the Gri...

Blogmas Day 14: Watching One Of My Favorite Christmas Movies With My Niece

So I've talked about my niece before... she's a toddler- she's almost 2 and she's super playful and the cutest! I thought it might be fun to try to watch one of my favorite Christmas Movies- A Muppet Christmas Carol- with her and see how she likes it... this is what happened. I wasn't really expecting her to pay much attention to it... but I thought maybe she'd laugh and maybe she would like the Muppets because she likes Sesame Street so much... and I think she did a little bit but she mostly just played a little bit and when she got tired she laid down to watch and then she fell asleep... just like what I do! But when she was asleep it was at my favorite part- Marley and Marley! With my favorite muppets- Statler and Waldorf...So that was a fun part for me to kind of sit down and watch with my dad. He thinks its funny too... and then we watched Fozziwig's Old Rubber Chicken Factory- which my dad also laughed at... which was funny. And I had to get read...

Blogmas Day 13: My Favorite Christmas Songs This Year

I usually like Christmas music in General... this year I'm working retail... so Christmas Music isn't really my first go-to as far as music goes... but I do still like it... and honestly my favorites are from the Christmas Soundtrack at work right now. I'll probably go and listen to the full albums... but these are still just good ones. 1) Everyone's A Kid At Christmastime by Stevie Wonder-  I like Stevie Wonder in general... and I like his Christmas Songs in general... but this one is really special and good. I like that he mentions even Scrooge can be a kid at Christmas Time... it's just a really clever song that I really really like. 2) Gwen Stefani's Christmas Songs-  This is shocking because usually I don't listen to Gwen Stefani because something terrible ALWAYS happens when I listen to Gwen Stefani... but I have to say her Christmas songs are actually great. She has such a great voice for them... and they're all just really sweet and kind of...

Blogmas Day 12: Non Holiday Movies I love Around The Holidays

There are a lot of great Christmas Movies... but there are some movies that Aren't Christmas Movies that are just as fun to watch around the holiday season... Sooooo that is what I'm talking about I guess. 1) Toy Story Series  I love the Toy Story Series... plus what's more fun for Christmas than Toys???? I watch this movie like all year long- not going to lie... but there is something special about watching it at Christmas. It makes me feel like a kid and I can remember when Santa Clause used to bring me new toys and the excitement of guessing what it was. 2) Star Wars  I love Star Wars... and there's something nice about watching movies that you love in the comfort of your own home on Christmas... and with the new Star Wars Series being released mostly around the holiday season... it just makes sense to watch them all around Christmas. Not something you need to watch at Christmas- especially since not everyone like Star Wars... but if you do... it's fun to...
