So I have to say... part of me is against all the reboots that are coming back and the re-makes of things... I just heard they're making a Legally Blonde 3 and I kind of rolled my eyes at that because of how bad Legally Blonde 2 was... that being said I was happy with The X Files.... I do continue to watch Arrested Development and the Will and Grace reboot isn't terrible. But of all the reboots... the best has to be the new Queer Eye... which I feel like is barely a "reboot" because it is quite different than the original series. The Original series was called "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy" and it featured 5 Gay Men known as "The Fab 5" giving makeovers to straight men... and each of the Fab 5 would focus on different aspects of the straight guy's personality. You had Carson- The fashion expert, Kayan- the Hair Guru, Jai- the Culture Expert, Thom- the interior designer, and Ted- the chef and foodie! So it wasn't just an ordinary makeo...

Okay so Doctor Strange! This is a fun movie based on a rather obscure Marvel character... and this is kind of why I like Disney and Marvel's current arrangement of sorts. Right now as I'm writing this Disney is looking to buy Fox and as good as I think that would be... I think that not having access to the entire Marvel Movie library has led them to be a little bit more creative. I feel like if they had all the Marvel movies- we might just have all Spider Man movies and we wouldn't have the MCU we know today...so I'm always really happy with things like this movie and the new Cloak and Dagger show- which I think is great... I'm sure if they do get Fox everything will be fine... but still! I'm glad there is a Doctor Strange movie! With that little ramble out of the way let's get into what I like about this movie! Alright! I know I'm reviewing this a little late... but I don't get to see many movies- so I finally got to see this and I absolutely LOVED it! First off... Jack Jack... very accurate representation of what a 1 year old is like. I babysit a 1 year old... it's exactly the same as the way they showed watching Jack Jack. It was so funny how exhausted and proud Bob was when he was watching him alone... it was so cute to see how proud everyone was of Jack Jack... his powers are the absolute coolest from any superhero ever... it was just really cool in general. So funny. I don't live anywhere near Disneyland and I probably won't get to go there for a long time, but this makes me kind of excited about Pixar Pier and how they have the Incredicoaster to go along with the movie... and Jack Jack's Num Num Cookies... those just look super yummy and I really want to try one. So a couple of weeks ago I went to the David Bowie Exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum... I don't think it's going to be there much longer- so I thought I'd kind of review it and explain my experience with it and... yeah! I've been a big David Bowie fan since high school. Around when The Best of Bowie came out. I just really liked his music, a lot of the songs I knew already but didn't realize he's the one that sang them...so yeah! That was good. I ended up getting more and more into his music in college, I was really sad when he passed away... I think he's been a great influence on music and fashion and I'm a big fan and this exhibit is really a museum of him everything about his life and influences. So my sister and I wanted to go and we didn't realize just how much stuff there would be in the museum. So this is going to be kind of a weird post for me. Back when Arrested Development first started- it was hard to find anything even sort of like it... and there were some good shows- like 30 Rock for example- that I would say "Yes if you like Arrested Development, you'll like this show." And I do LOVE 30 Rock... it might be my third favorite show of all time... BUT I don't necessarily compare it to Arrested Development anymore because... I just think they're wayyyy too different. In fact: I might do a post on "What to Watch if You Can't Get Enough Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" sometime after I review the first part of that show's (rumored) final season... so that will kind of be more 30-rock focused... I felt like I was really, really trying to hype up this review by having a lot of posts related to this... and I was going to try watching it several times... which I have and pay close attention to detail with each episode... which I kind of did but I found it a little harder to do than most seasons... and I think I'll get to that. So this part focused on Michael's separation from the family... and from George Michael particularly because Michael's always been pretty separate from the family-despite always helping them when they needed it- but George Michael was always there with him and they always got along. After the fallout with Rebel Ally- they both avoided each other and they were even a little scared of each other. They both started a self defense class to protect yourself against your family... or your "Darth" in George Michael's case. It was different seeing Michael as a George Sr type to George Michael... although they did kind of do that througho...

So along with my Arrested Development series of posts here... I kind of wanted to go into what it was like watching and loving Arrested Development back when it was first on vs. now that it is a lot more popular and on Netflix. So the most frustrating thing about liking it back when the original series was that you never really knew what was going to happen to the show... but I have to say that sort of made the show even funnier. The show CONSTANTLY mentions it's troubled status through plotlines and jokes. In one episode in season 2 they mention the housing order being dropped from 22 to 18... which is the number of episodes that were in season 2 compared to season 1. In the finale there are signs everywhere for a show called "Skating With Celebrities" which ultimately replaced Arrested Development's timeslot and the signs said "A Trainwreck on Ice."
