Movies That I got For My Mom

Sooo...I noticed Target had a sale on a lot of DVD's and I wanted to pick some up for my mom for mother's day... and I thought I would tell you guys which ones I got.

Bad Moms and Bad Moms Christmas were both on sale... and I know my mom loves the first Bad Moms movie so I got her that. We keep recording the movie on our DVR and then deleting it because we need more room... so I thought if I just got the DVD we would watch it a lot and we wouldn't need to keep recording and deleting it. Also- we've tried watching it with my grandmother and she doesn't really want to see the dirty scenes in it... so it would be a little easier to fast forward past those on dvd than it was on DVR. We had never seen Bad Moms Christmas- so I was excited to see that there too. I love Christmas movies and I thought this would be a fun one to watch any time of year... but it'd be fun to watch at Christmas too.

And then I got her Victoria and Abdul. This movie I don't even think is on any of the channels for us to DVR... but I know my mom really wanted to see this and she mentions it a lot as something that she wished she saw. I think she kind of knows that I got her the Bad Moms movies, but I don't think she knows about Victoria and Abdul at all... and that's the one I think she'll be most excited to watch. She's been watching a lot about the royal family lately too... so I think this will be one that's new for her and it's different than the others that she's seen.

I just thought I'd share this... even though I'm sharing it on Mother's Day and I'm not sure if these are on sale anymore because I think it's interesting to know what people watch with their mom. And I feel like I watch a lot of things with my mom and I kind of like including her opinion on these blogs too... so this just seemed like an important blog to do and I like it!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
