Target Tuesday: Target Room Refresh

Okay so this is an exciting post that I've been kind of wanting to do for a while... it's a room refresh and since a lot of the things I got are from target... I figured I'd do it for Target Tuesday. I'll show some other things too... but I won't share where its from if it's from the chain of stores I work at... just to keep it private I guess.

Threshhold Bins

This is basically what inspired the whole project... I wanted to clear off one of my bookshelves from the dvds that were on it... and I wanted to add bins so that I could put the clothes I'm wearing for the next day in one of the bins.

And I didn't exactly know what types of bins I wanted... but when I saw these $10 bins from Threshhold at my target store I knew these were perfect!!! So I got 3 of them because there were 3 bins available and I really only needed 3. I have this other drawer organizer storage that I also got from Target years ago that I knew fit in these bookshelf cubbies... so I knew I didn't need a 4th one and... yeah. This matches the colors of my wall PERFECTLY so it really adds some nice pops of colors and flowers into my bedroom... I was So excited to find these! They look so good!

So basically the top shelf one is almost empty to fit my clothes I'm wearing the next day, plus some bras, some socks and the purse I'm using at the time if it fits. Or my pajamas when I'm actually wearing the clothes. Lol. The other 2 are filled with notebooks, coloring books, and supplies for cardmaking and other things.

Room Essentials 3 Tier Storage Carts (with wheels)

So I got this one bookshelf from Target thinking it would just fit... it didn't fit so then I saw these Rolling Carts that looked like they would do the trick and... they really do! I have some other rolling carts from Costco... but I thought these would add just a little bit of extra storage that I kind of wanted just in case I need some more space for books or dvds or notebooks. I actually liked the first one so much I ended up getting a second one. The first one I didn't put the wheels on because like I said- I do have 2 other rolly carts from Costco with wheels and this was just kind of for a small addition right by my door. It works really well and it looks really great!

And the other one I did put wheels on because it helps I guess to be able to maneuver it when you have a small space. I use this one as a nightstand and it works well. Heads up... the wheels don't really stay in that well. There is no real way to screw them in or tighten them so... they're just kind of in there and if you run over something... it might pop off.

Bullseye's Playground Finds

Everyone's been talking about these tiny shelves... and they're nice. I don't really have much to put on them right now- but I put it on the wall and put some crystals that I got at Francescas on there. I might look for more crystals to put there because I like crystals and I think this is a nice way to display them.

I also have these 2 wire baskets that I hung on my wall actually. I have this whiteboard calendar that I got at the place I work at and I put some extra Expo Dry Erase Markers in them, as well as the Expo cleaning solution and my expo eraser. And in the other one I have my deodorant and some Bath and Body Works Sprays.

On my desk I have some envelope holders from Bullseye's Playground that match the wire baskets. I really like how these look. They're just cute and chic and... I just really like them a lot. I have some notebooks in there.

Non Target items

So I found this cool bookshelf thing at work. I think it's like a magazine rack- but I put some books on it right now... it's really great! It fits right by my door and it fits sooo much stuff on it. I actually wish I had seen this before I got one of the second rolly cart bookshelf because it's a bitt too much furniture... but I still like it a lot!

I also got a record player! This is really fun- I got this from Walmart. I got my boyfriend a Victrola one from the store I work at... and then I saw this one on sale at Walmart... so I boight one for myself because I liked his so much! This is from Crosley- not Victrola... but I like it so far! It's cute and it's chill... and pink! I'll post more about my record collection and maybe do a review of this sometime soon.

I also got this really cool color changing salt lamp from the store I work at... it has a remote so you could keep it one color- multi colored or turn it on and off easily... I love this thing!

I think there's more I got as some kinds of decor... but I forget... But overall Loving how everything looks and how well everything works and functions.

It's just really easy and... I like it a lot.

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
