Cheese And Crackers- But Better

Okay so I made some Cheese and Crackers today- but I'd like to say I elevated it a bit. This is really easy and not groundbreaking- but I had never done this until I saw this on youtube.

You could do this with any type of cheese and any type of cracker that you'd like... but right now I've been really liking the flavored Triscuits. I've tried a few different flavors... they have some really good ones. I used the Balsamic Vinegar and Basil today- but I'll try this with other cheeses and other triscuits in the future I'm sure.

I used sliced Munster Cheese. Munster is probably my favorite cheese. Since this was a big deli cheese I had to break it up into pieces that fit on the Triscuit. It sort of worked better if I put multiple small pieces of cheese on top of each other. The cheese isn't super easy to melt because it's just regular deli cheese but... it still worked really well and the hardest part was trying not to give my dog too much cheese.

So after that I put the crackers in the microwave... figuring out how long to microwave it was the trickiest part. I thought having it in for 10 seconds all at once would be too long... but 5 seconds was way to short. I did 7 seconds and then I looked to see how melted it got and did another 5 after that. That seemed to work the best and it kept it nice and warm and also melty. It didn't taste like cold melted cheese- which is kind of a gross cheese.

I guess if you wanted to further top it off you could. I think if I had a cherry tomato that would have been good. Even a fruit would probably work with the balsamic flavor... but I'm not sure I'm into that. I think other cheeses would have worked too like mozerella or something. The box recommends Ricotta with Strawberry or Fig Jam... I'm not crazy about ricotta on it's own so and I'm not super into the idea of something sweet with this- but I can see how it would work maybe. If you're into that sort of thing you might like it!

Anyway that is all that I did... this is so simple I don't think it's even really a recipe- but it wasn't until EmilyNoel83 said that's a good way to enjoy cheese and crackers that I had tried it... and I don't think it worked when I first tried it... but I decided to give it another try and it worked this time! Really delicious and it's just something tasty to eat!

Hope you guys liked this!

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
