Atlantic City Haul: Hard Rock Hotel and Sugar Factory

Hope you guys have been liking my Atlantic City Posts... this might be the last one for a while- what I BOUGHT!

First thing... I needed to get a Hard Rock shirt. I have a couple other Hard Rock Cafe shirts... this is more for the hotel itself and it's really pretty. It has a golden owl and a built-in choker... which I really like. It's just a cool looking shirt.

I also got a scarf... I just liked the scarves they had there. The one I got looked more Rock and Roll themed than specifically Hard Rock themed... even though it did say Hard Rock on it. My boyfriend picked it out and I just really like it.

The last "Hard Rock" thing I got was a hoodie- I just needed a hoodie. My boyfriend liked the room a little colder than I'm used too... I wasn't freezing or anything... but I wanted a hoodie. And this says something on the back too which is pretty cool.

My Boyfriend got a couple books from the Ripley's Believe it Or Not Museum. One was just a little book that I think talked about some of the exhibits and one was the Ripley Biography. They were both decently priced... cheaper than getting it at Barnes and Noble or something I believe... and both super cool.

Then we went to the gift shop for the Sugar Factory... which was awesome. I think my favorite thing I got there is a water bottle... cause now every time I look at it- I'll remember our first vacation and want to drink more water... lol. It's also just super pretty and I love the logo. I also got a rubber ducky cause I couldn't really pass it up... and a notebook set. He got the same water bottle but in black and the same Rubber Ducky too.

We also got some candy from Steel Fudge. We got a half pound of chocolate and a half pound of pistachio for my parents. I got a pound of salted caramels and a bag of shoestring licorice for myself. The shoestring licorice there is not my favorite... it's not bad just a little harder and less flavorful than the ones I'm used to. He also got some Molasses Caramels for his sister which he said taste like peanut butter.

Ohhh and I got a souvenir drink cup from the Blue Martini- which is the Comedy Club we went to at Bally's. I don't have a picture of it cause it's just basically a ball that says Bacardi on it... but it's good!

And that's it! Hope you like this! Let me know your favorite thing... and I'll see you tomorrow for a movie review!

Bye!
-Shannon

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
