Packing for a 2 Day Trip June 2019

Hey guys! So I know I just talked about what we did on our 2 day trip- but here's what we packed! We bought a lot of stuff we didn't have for the trip- and some of the stuff we didn't use but we could still use it... it was like we didn't use everything we packed- but we didn't forget everything and we could have used it. We both kind of felt like we didn't overpack- but we also didn't underpack.

We bought a lot from discount stores. We both actually work at 2 different discount stores so we had a discount on top of the lower prices... so that was especially good. We got our bathing suits, sunscreen, his sunglasses, a floppy hat for me, some dressier clothes, reusable straws, and some socks from discount stores. We also went to the travel section of a drugstore called Harmon... which is basically half travel sized goods and half a regular drugstore and the travel section of Walmart. We probably didn't use all of this for the trip... but still it was good to have and the prices were so low. We didn't get a lot from Target... but we did get some beach towels.

We didn't really have a lot of the things we needed... which is why we went shopping. We didn't need to buy all new things... but it was kind of useful and easy to pack since everything was sealed and stuff.

My parents had a suitcase that was large... but it wasn't like the largest size for a suitcase. It was big enough for both of our stuff... plus we had room that it didn't get overstuffed. His mom actually gave us a big plastic bag so that we could put our dirty clothes in there so our clean clothes wouldn't get dirty. That made it easy for us when we got home so we could just put our dirty clothes in the laundry and our clean clothes could go back in our closets/dressers.

We packed some reusable tote bags and some backpacks also. He brought 2 backpacks and I brought one plus my handbag. It was pretty useful. It was nice to have beach stuff in the backpack and everything else packed away.

So... that was pretty much it! I know this probably isn't the best way to pack- but it worked for us and we were happy with what we packed. Aside from 1 hair product that didn't have a cap and leaked out in my toiletry bag... it wasn't too bad! I don't regret anything else!

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
