Summer Must Haves (So Far)

Hey guys! So I thought I'd talk about some things I've been loving this summer so far... and some things I'm excited for!

MUST EAT/DRINK

So lately I've been really into Orange Juice of all things! I was kind of sick a few weeks ago and I wanted some orange juice- which my dad always likes when he's sick... and since then I've been having like a glass a day.

I've also been loving Frutta Bowls lately. They do different Acai and Pitaya Bowls. These types of fruit bowl places have been popular for a few years... it's basically like a chipotle concept but with fruit. You can create your own bowl with all sorts of things inside... or they have a few pre-chosen menu items. I've been getting the one called the Frutta Bowl lately- which has Acai, Honey, Peanut Butter, Nutella, Strawberry, Kiwi, Pineapples and Coconut flakes. It all tastes sooo good together in the bowl. They also put granola in there too... so it's just all good.

I've also been loving the Starbucks S'mores Frappucino and the Mocha Cookie Crumble! These are both really good... I've ordered them before but the S'mores hasn't been around in a while and the Mocha Cookie Crumble is always better than I thought. Idk why I always forget about that one... but now I'm loving it and it's good.

MUST WATCH

I've been loving all of The Tim Tracker's videos lately. I get so excited to see them on in my subscriptions... and he's been doing a lot of exciting stuff lately. He's going to be a dad, he and his wife have been traveling a lot, he went to Galaxy's Edge... it's all really cool and it looks like he's having fun with everything. I've been enjoying the videos.

Really any of the Galaxy's Edge videos... I'm excited for it!

I've also been liking Umbrella Academy a lot. My Boyfriend and I started watching it together... we didn't finish Episode 3 yet- but I do really like it.

I haven't seen Black Mirror's new season yet... and I am a little nervous about it because I've heard some bad things... but I'm excited for it.

I also watched the first episode of You on Netflix... I'll get back to that one in a bit... but that's a good one too.

MUST READ

Back to the book You... omg what a weird but good and creepy book. I'm on chapter 20 or 30 now I think... it makes me feel a lot of things. It's about this book store manager that is obsessed with this Brown Student that plans on being a writer... and he manipulates everything in her life and kidnaps her ex boyfriend... and it's just wild. I love it so far and can't wait to read more. I can't stop thinking about the book when I'm not reading it too... it's just so strong!

After this book I think I'll read something a little lighter... I have a romance book called One Day In December by Josie Silver... this just sounded good and it's part of Reese's Book Club (Reese Witherspoons... not Reese's Pieces.) Anyway this looked good and I bought it recently so I might try to read and talk about it soon.

I also have a couple books from Marie Kondo- Spark Joy and The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up and I have the first 2 volumes of the Umbrella Academy series... which I need to finish.

Must Listen To...

Radio Pop... not usually my thing but I'm loving the new Taylor Swift song with Brendon Urie and the new Ed Sheeran song with Justin Bieber. Weird combos I didn't think I'd like... but I think they sound good together.

Anyway... I think that is everything! I might do more of these as I feel needed... but I wanted to let you guys know what I like now!

Bye!
-Shannon

Blogmas Day 12: The 12 Days of Christmas Gift Guide

So I thought it would be fun to do a gift guide that every gift corresponds with the price. So like for the first day of Christmas $1 gift that would be good and then up from there. These would be good stocking stutterers and things I just think are unique. $1- Solar Powered Dancers!  My mom loves getting the little dancing solar powered people. We get most of ours from Dollar tree... other dollar stores have them too, they're super cute and fun for $1. Its good to put near any plants that you have that way you know they're getting sunlight. It's a good gift. $2- Mini Coloring Book!  At 5 Below they had some mini travel sized coloring books for $2. I thought these were pretty cool. I got the Botanical one I believe. Really cute and fun! I would recommend! $3-   Ceramic Truck w/ Christmas Tree  I saw this at the Target Dollar Spot and I thought it was cute and would probably make a great gift. If you know someone who has a truck or likes the sort of "rustic C...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...

Scribbles about Books: Horns by Joe Hill

I picked this book up not too long ago because after seeing the trailer for the movie and seeing it was based on a book I thought "Hey, that looks good. I should read the book." Then my friend gave me a Barnes and Noble gift card for my birthday and I thought "Hey I wanted to read Horns, I should grab that." And I did, and I had to read it around halloween of corse! So this is my kind of horror story first of all. I love that the universe it takes place in is very realistic and very small-town. If you've noticed in some of my other book reviews... I like mysteries that take place in small towns. And its very believable because the world and the characters are all so real. I think its a good book just for that. The book starts out with this guy Ignatious, or Ig a year after his girlfriend Merrin is murdered. He grows horns from out of his head... for no real reason. And then a few chapters in we find out who really did it and then we find out why and that thi...
