Movie Monday: Bruce Almighty- Cute Movie... but it doesn't work as well today.

Soo... yeah. I saw Bruce Almighty was on Comedy Central and nothing else was on so I watched it... and overall it's a fun movie... but it's weird.  I feel like now that I'm grown up... if I were Grace (Jennifer Aniston's character) I wouldn't forgive Bruce at the end of the movie. He's kind of a terrible boyfriend and I feel like he learns his lesson... but does he really?  Bruce is a news anchor and at the beginning of the movie he's upset about not getting the lead anchor position... and he's stuck doing small hometown stories, like The World's Largest Cookie... and they often cut his segments or shelf them... so it's not really working out for him. He kind of freaks out on the air when he finds out his rival got the position... then he goes home to his girlfriend Grace who's trying to comfort him and he just kind of yells at her and acts really selfishly... he also goes on to kiss another woman once his ego gets really big from being god.

Movie Monday: The Platform

Okay... I forgot I didn't write this already... I watched it a little over a week ago and honestly... it's alright.  So this is a horror/ thriller movie that is on Netflix. It is originally a spanish language film and I believe if you have English as your setting for American Netflix it will automatically play a dub... I would recommend changing it to the original Spanish language and just use english Subtitles. We didn't listen to that much of the dub... it's not reviewed very well and while the voice acting seemed like it was good... it was still kind of low and hard to understand and the subtitles didn't match... so using the subtitles was a little easier. I know a little spanish and if I was paying attention to what they were saying I could have understood it lol. I was mostly reading it.  So anyway the movie starts out really strong. Basically it follows 2 men in some sort of prison that they both actually volunteered for... so they were in their of their own

Reality TV Spoiler Roundup: Dancing With The Stars, The Bachelorette, The Masked Singer and Some Gameshows!

Alright- so I wasn't planning on posting today... but you know... I've been watching a lot of reality tv and... I figured why not just do a post on the shows that I watch. I love recapping the Bachelor Shows and would like to do The Masked Singer and Dancing With The Stars as well... so yeah!  Dancing With The Stars- 80's Night  Okay... So I've actually been really into Dancing With The Stars... I really do like watching people dance and I kind of like learning about celebrities I didn't really know about before... which sounds bad- but I mean it in a good way lol. This week was 80s Night- which was a lot of fun. I voted on this too! I only vote on ABC.Com and I vote for every couple that I enjoyed watching... so I did vote for most of the couples. I think I didn't vote for Jesse, Chrishell and Vernon... I forget if I voted for Skai or not... I like her dancing but I think I forgot to vote for her. And last week was probably my least favorite routine of hers...

Atlanta Season 2 Review: Robbin Season

This season might be one of my favorite seasons of any tv show... it's great!  Alright... we gotta talk about Teddy Perkins. Teddy Perkins is probably the weirdest and most memorable episode of any tv show. Earn and Paper Boi are barely in the episode... There are people in White Face... I don't want to say who... it's just a really wild episode where Darius goes to a house trying to get a Piano and then it's basically like he's escaping Neverland Ranch. It's very much like Michael Jackson and his father... it's a really weird episode. There are lots of fan theories... there's a lot of symbolism. Every shot had meaning and detail... it's just really great.  And the season is referred to as "Robbin Season" Because in the fall and winter in Atlanta is when a lot of robberies happen. And each episode has some sort of robbery. Whether it's a character actually stealing something or emotional robbery between characters... there's a lot.

Movie Monday: Charlie and The Chocolate Factory (2005)

Alright... so I have to say I didn't finish watching this movie... I had to leave right before Mike Teavee's part... but I did see most of the movie and I kind of had some opinions.  So I know everyone loves Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory... and as much as I really like that movie... I have only seen it once because it kind of scares me. There's that one boat scene that's really terrifying and then the end... I just always thought that the kids all died because if I remember correctly you never see them again at the end of the movie. It's a little refreshing to see the kids at the end of this movie kind of normal? Slightly deformed with possibly temporary or long term deformations... that they seem somewhat ok with for the most part.  Tim Burton directed this and while I kind of always thought this was like the beginning of Tim Burton's downfall... when I actually watched it again- I thought it was just as good as his other movies... there are a lot of r

Bingewatch and Chill Saturday: Atlanta Season 1

Okay- so I've done a TV Breakdown on this and... this show is great. It is one you should definitely be watching if you haven't watched it already. There are only 2 seasons and you can probably finish it all in one day... but it's really good.  Next week I'll talk about Season 2 and I did like Season 2 a little more than Season 1... but this season has a ton of amazing amazing episodes and overall it is just a super funny show.  The show at it's base level is about a man named Earnest or Earn that's in sort of an on again off again relationship with his wife Vanessa- they're together but they're still dating other people and they have a little daughter together. He's kind of trying to do his best for Vanessa and his daughter Lottie, but he's very down on his luck and it's hard for him. He then finds out that there's an up and coming rapper named Paper Boi and Earn realizes "Ohh... he's my cousin." And he gets a job as Paper

TV Breakdown Thursday: Why do I always watch Friends and The Office

So... at one point in time my favorite show ever was Arrested Development... and it's not that that isn't still my favorite... but it has kind of changed over time because rewatching Arrested Development now is not nearly as fun. Especially with all the controversies of the cast... and the newest seasons on Netfllix. I haven't even watched the last few episodes... which I will one day but... idk it's just not the show it used to be. Parks and Rec, 30 Rock and Community are also shows I liked better than The Office at the time they were on... and yet I always watch marathons of The Office and I'm slightly disappointed when there are repeats of Parks and Rec on instead. It's weird.  What I really like is that there are so many seasons of The Office and Friends. There are hundreds of episodes to watch and it isn't like you are watching the same exact episodes every single time. Whereas when I see Parks and Rec on... I think they show most of the series in one
