Woman Crush Wednesday

I see a lot of things on Instagram with Woman Crush Wednesdays and you know its nice to see the pictures of the girl crushes, but I want to go into a little more detail with it. I don't think of my woman crushes as actual woman crushes, more just beautiful ladies that I admire a lot for everything that they've contributed... mostly to women in television and women in comedy. And Basically these women are what I look up to and really wish to become.

This week I'm going to talk about someone who I've been admiring a LOT lately and that is the very lovely and talented Zooey Deschannel. I just love her, I love New Girl, I love her movies and I really like her personality. She can play a lot of different characters. She's played some really funny sort of dark mean characters- similar to Aubrey Plaza- and very quirky upbeat characters- like Ellie Kemper.

Lately I've been sort of copying her style and trying to replicate her look, particularly on New Girl a lot because I just think she's super awesome. She looks so beautiful all the time and I really love her style and she's just so cute. Not that I'm insecure about the way I look at all, but if I could look more like a celebrity, it would be Zooey.

And I really think she's one of the smartest celebrities out there too because she doesn't make everything just about her looks. She produces New Girl and I think I read that she's either writing or producing 2 new shows for NBC, which is really cool. I really want to get into writing for television, particularly comedy, which is why I admire women in television and comedy so very much.

And she doesn't really use her celebrity to overpower her. She still does independent movies, and New Girl is really more of an ensemble instead of it just being all about her, which is cool. I mean its always cool when a movie star is on a TV show, but its incredibly awesome when its not even totally about her. And the way she carries her personal life is cool too because she doesn't really talk about her personal life or who she's dating or anything like that. On her facebook and twitter there are a lot of things about female empowerment and she posts a lot of things about her friends (like Joseph Gordon Levitt). And she's just a cool person to follow on social media just because she's a cool person.

And she is someone that I'm really influenced by. Really, when Pantene picked her to be their spokesperson they did a damn good job cause I'll buy anything that will make me look more like Zooey Deschannel. Although I don't particularly have a lot of Pantene products... I probably wouldn't have bought any if it weren't for Zooey Deschannel. They know who they're targeting with their stuff.

So there you go, Zooey Deshannel is awesome, empowering, smart, beautiful, stylish, and funny. The whole package, which is why she's my woman crush this Wednesday.

I'll probably do more of these. I want to keep blogging everyday, and I think themed blogs make these easiest. I might do other things on wednesdays too, but I'll post these on wednesdays only cause why not? And I'll probably do Man Crush Mondays too, but those might be more demeaning than empowering. Lol I'll try to talk about men that I look up to before talking about Channing Tatum and how hot he is... which is really hot.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
